Good afternoon, I don't always log in over the weekend and was playing catch up on the board this afternoon. I read through the comments and suggestions you have already received and would agree that you received lots of good information/suggestions and support. I just wanted to say that I hope you are already feeling better and ready to continue to tackle this bumpy ride. One suggestion I can make, I sometimes forget that I need to slow down when I eat-chew, chew and chew some more and to put down my utensil between bites. For me, not only does it help with digestion it seems to help me feel the restriction-I am not sure if that makes sense at all. Best of luck to you.

It makes perfect sense. Thank you. I will heed that advice
I read many of the posts, but not all. So I hope that I am not repeating. I think that you have to start again. You have to start fresh, locate your instructions, and follow each and every instruction that you were provided. You have to commit to your success and most importantly, get into ketosis, which will prevent you from being hungry. How do you get into ketosis? You have to go through that very frustrating few days that we all have had to endure, where you do everything precisely as you know you should, so that your body gets back to reducing your hunger, naturally.
It is often a painful process, one where you want to break the rules, but one that you must agree to enter, otherwise you will always be hungry. If you properly enter ketosis, you will not be hungry. But if you cheat, you will never get there. I am no exercise therapist, for sure, but does yoga provide the kind of aerobic exercise that you need to achieve success? Yoga seems kind of about stretching, etc. You have to do exercise that wears you out when you are done. What about power walking for 45 minutes to an hour at least 5, maybe six days a week. You have to shock your body into a new state, since you have been apparently overeating.
You can achieve your goals if you regain your original intention to succeed and carry that intention through to the finish line.

Honestly, I would stop eating nuts as your start. They are very easy to over eat so I would not even buy them. I don't eat them at all, but I was never a huge fan anyway. Really, this is going to be self control and it's going to be hard. Your body isn't hungry more than likely, your brain is and our brains tend to be greedy AND needy. Head hunger is my biggest struggle too. Hard day? I want food. Emotional? Food. It's a process and a lot to learn.
Wow! I just stumbled upon this post I made 4 years ago. Everyone was so helpful and supportive.
I thought I'd take a few moments to post an update.
At the time of the post, I'd mentioned that I wanted to lose 50 more LBS. I've since lost 40 of those 50. Everyone tells me I look skinnier than I weigh, but it's not what they think but my opinions, or rather the scale's opinion that matters. I track everything still and would like to lose 10 more LBS. Inasmuch as I do watch what I eat etc, I am not hard on myself. I feel great about how far I've come and understand my body better. There was a year where I weighed exactly the same I did all year. That year, I went down the most in inches. It was still a Gain, or rather, a win!
I do consider extra skin surgery as I have a lot of extra skin, everywhere! I can afford it, but between wanting to lose 10 more and skin surgery not being a priority, it's can wait. I am very thankful to be as content as I am with my body. It's been a lifetime of challenges, education, journaling, 'work', forgiveness, acceptance, etc etc.
This updated is dedicated to those who feel how I did when I posted the original one; those who, like me, may have seen all the other folks' success stories and felt like such losers, those who may have felt like they won't fit in here, and ended up never even signing up.
5 years out, the number one advice I can offer anyone is, journal! Your emotions, your menstrual cycle, know why you crave certain things at certain times of the month, why you crave what and when, food journal, and while you're at it, gratitude journal.
Happy 2022, yall!
