Good Morning Erin and Menu Family!

QOTD: I don't drink protein shakes any more. I think I got burned out on them during the first year, but I have 3 huge tubs of the powder left that I ordered, so I need to start drinking them so I can use them up. I think I usually get enough or almost enough protein through my food.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 65, Calories - 1,046, Carbs - 111.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: hamburger patty with melted cheese

D: not sure yet, but just went to the store, so have plenty of options.

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

Good morning everyone, I plan to make yogurt in my IP today for the first time. I really don't have any plans other than that. Will take my walk with the dog and probably get some Christmas shopping done.

4 weeks post-op: 37 lbs down and loving it.?

Another chilly day here in Illinois but at least the sun is out. Plans are giving Lily a bath and sorting and pulling items from the cupboards in the camper that might freeze. I also need to practice the organ for church tomorrow and help hubby make mashed potatoes for potluck after church tomorrow. Lily and I have 4 miles in already and will do another one after supper. Accountability was good as I kept busy so I couldn't snack. Here is the food for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli chicken 1/2 c broccoli cheese soup D 1 c ham and beans S 5 oz greek yogurt with 1 T granola added. The only protein powder I use is what I add to my oats in the morning. Have a great day everyone and make some conscious choices that move you closer to your goals!

Hi everyone, happy Saturday!

It's cold here this morning! My two Siamese are both camped in front of the heater in the living room. It really is chilly for us (everything is relative!) The cats are tiny, not more than 6.5 pounds each, and easily become little popsicles. But later on in it'll warm up, jackets and costs are rarely necessary here. I have to say though that I do miss snow! Not driving in it and certainly not a season's worth of shoveling, but I truly miss how very pure and beautiful it is when it's coming down, and when new fallen.

QOTD: I am still eating too little to get enough protein from food. I have just 6 (beginning to stretch it to 6.3) ounces per day of food, and it is a challenge to hit 60 grams even with my morning shake. My calories are always under 600 and sometimes under 500, and I'm not hungry for more, but sometimes I add another half shake to boost my protein up over at least the minimum. I bought a few tubs of the Unjury Chicken Soup because I thought I'd like having a savory option, but thus far I find myself far preferring my vanilla, cinnamon, and cappuccino flavors. Once in a while I have two whole servings of shakes but it's rare as then my calories are higher, which means I have to make cuts in my other meals, and I do like the idea of actually trying to get my nutrition primarily through real food. I also find that starting the day with a shake is best for me, rather than adding it on at the end of the day. I often won't want to eat more, or will feel too tired for food, and would prefer to skip it altogether if I wait, which puts me way below where my protein grams should be. So first thing works best for me!

First: tea with cashew milk, cinnamon protein drink

B: 2 oz. turkey, mustard

L: 1.7 oz. Ham, 0.4 oz. cheddar

D: 1.7 oz. turkey, 0.4 oz. cheddar

Enjoy your day, RnYers!

Hello Everyone

QOTD: I only have premier protein in my coffee. I have about 5 oz a day. Generally I get over 100g of protein so I don't need it but I can't eat as early in the morning either any,ore so it gives me something.

Menu is up in the air cause we are going to spend the day celebrating that my daughter has gotten a pharmacist job that will start two days after she graduates (unless she gets a residency) we are so proud she has a job ready and waiting for her.

Ill be be sure to stick around 1,000 calories, low carb and high protein and fat. Take care Everyone

Good morning,

It is really cold here in Michigan. I did not go to my friends house last night because of it. I am going to the plasma center today.

Qotd I really do not rely on protein shakes, I rather get my protein from food. I do have two containers of protein powder that I won this year.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D chicken breast and some kind of vegetable

Have a good day

Hi everyone! Suddenly it's freezing cold here too (outsife philadelphia PA) I really like premier protein shakes. The only flavor I haven't tried is banana. I did try the whey isolate powder but it made me gag (really). I have a premier with my coffee around 8am, yogurt around 11 and some kind of dense protein meal around 12:30 or 1:00. At around 4:00 I have another premier protein with coffee. Around 7 I have dinner...dense protein and veggies. This way of eating works for me.

My two new cats (I adopted a mother and baby from upstate) are coming today... I can't wait. Their current names are Roxi and Cheeto...I have Molly and Woodie in mind (although Cheeto is a cute name for an orange kitten). Have a great day. nance
