Good morning! Got an early start at work today to catch up on things I missed since I was off yesterday for the EGD.

QotD: my grandpa was a WWII vet, and my mom will put flowers on his grave tomorrow, but I am working a weekend shift so I won't make it out with her.

breakfast: the other half of my IHOP steak omelette.

Snack: mocha protein shake (sample packet). I'm having a hard time finding protein shakes I like anymore. I burned myself out when I followed the liquid diet with my husband.

Lunch: 3 oz deli turkey, 2 slices Swiss cheese, spicy mustard for dipping

dinner: leftover meatloaf and zucchini

photo is my pathetic cat, napping on my shoulder while I work in my office

Happy Friday menu peeps. Very cold here in Illinois--21 when Lily and I walked but we got 3.8 miles in and will do another mile after supper. Accountability was good last night--I kept my hands busy knitting. QOTD my dad was in the Army and my maternal grandfather was a marine. They both served overseas but came home. After touring Civil War sites where hubbys great great grandfather was including prison sites at Andersonville and Camp Lawton I'm touched by the enormity of war and the idea that there really are no winners--everyone either loses their life or comes back forever changed. So thankful though for those who do serve. Post op 5 years 2.5 months and weight at 118.4 today. Heres the food for maintenance B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli ham and cheese 1/2 c green beans 31/2 oz cheddar brat 1/2 c cauliflower S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make smart choices that move you one step closer to your goals. Picture is today's outfit.

You look so good Karen! I like that patterned cardigan/jacket! And those slender jeans. Plus I love your tall black boots!

I love boots! I used to never be able to find any wide enough for my calves. Now I have tall boots and short boots in several styles and in brown and black. Still not real good with much of a heel though--just feel too clumsy!
