What's on your Tuesday menu RNYers?
you look great, Teena!!!
finished up with my 10-month research study this morning - the final sleep study is over!! YAY!! It went OK, although I was disappointed I could hardly remember any dreams when researcher woke me up (she woke me up about six times, I think). Today I'm at an all-day diversity forum on campus - these are always pretty good, so hopefully I can last all day and not collapse from exhaustion (because of getting very little sleep last night). Tomorrow we leave for the airport at 4:30 am, heading to Vermont for a week to visit relatives.
2 years 5 months out:
B: homemade vanilla Greek yogurt with strawberries
S: coffee with half & half, pumpkin vanilla protein/Miralax latte shake, a thing of Chobani peach yogurt
L: not sure since they provide lunch for us at the forum. I took a couple of extra containers of Chobani yogurt in case there's not much I can eat at lunch
D: probably pulled pork
forgot the QOTD. I don't do protein bars very often, but I do keep one or two in my purse for emergencies. I'll take 3 or 4 to Vermont. I like Quest, some of the Fit Joys, and Oh Yeah One. Pure Protein are OK - but I eat them sometimes because they're pretty filling (Quest can be too, though - might be the extra fiber (plus the protein, of course...)).
Love the pants, Teena!
I've had a few missteps lately around snacking. I've been stressed and my first instinct is to shove everything I can into my mouth. That's something I still struggle with sometimes. Weight reflected it at 167 this morning. My water intake was also pretty poor weekend which might have been why I felt so crappy. So, time to fix it and move on!
QOTD: I used to occasionally have the Costco version of the Quest protein bars, but I can't stand the taste of them anymore. The premier protein fiber bars are good, but they have more carbs than I like. More of a treat once in awhile. The peanut caramel ones are very good. Maybe a little too good.
Menu:
B: coffee with 1 cup fairlife milk
L: peanut chicken, HB egg
S: light and fit greek yogurt, no sugar added peach cup
D: chicken pot pie soup made with fairlife milk (chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peas)
S: HB egg

Hello everyone,
Teena, you look amazing!
QOTD: I don't eat protein bars but I do eat plenty of Ostrim meat sticks.
Accountability: I ate 1/2 a pickle that was not planned but otherwise I did well.
I was able to eat grilled chicken breast for the first time since surgery. I did eat it as a sandwich using lettuce leaves as the bun but it's a start. Yaay!
B: 2eggs, turkey breakfast sausage, 1/2 slice of cheese
L: 3oz turkey breast
D: 2oz italian turkey sausage, 2oz ribeye steak.
S: ostrim meat stick
Cals:678, Carbs: 6, Protein:95
Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!

Hello,
Teena you look good.
I slept in this morning but not sure if I feel better. Fitbit said I was very restless last night. Hopefully coffee will help.
Qotd I only eat protein bars occasionally. I have a box of Quest s'more, which is pretty good.
I got to get my eating better, at least the candy is gone now. Still have popcorn but that is not as bad as candy.
B egg mcmuffin and string cheese
L skinless and boneless chicken thigh and honeycrisp apple
D ham and some kind of vegetable
Have a good day

Teena, you look fantastic rocking' those size 10s! Plus you know I love those boots!
QOTD: I consider protein bars to be too much like candy to be a wise choice. For me, they're a slippery slope, as sweets were my downfall, and could easily be again if I don't take care. I don't use them.
First: Cappucino protein drink
B: 2 oz. Turkey
L: 1.7 oz. Ham, 0.3 oz. cheddar
D: 2 oz. tilapia with lemon
Have a lovely day, RnYers!
