What's on your Tuesday menu RNYers?
Good morning and welcome to Tuesday. I'm headed North again this week. I will be in Sudbury for 2 nights but stopping in North Bay for lunch. I had a post all written at 5:30 this morning and forgot to hit submit. And then it was gone.
So the QOTD is about protein bars. I don't normally eat them but because of this road trip and the one to PA for Thanksgiving, I bought a box of Pure Protein at Costco the other day. Do you eat protein bars? If so what ones do you like? I haven't tried the Pure Protein ones yet but I did like the stats over some other choices.
Accountability was great yesterday but I didn't drink enough water. I know I had 60 ounces but I usually drink double that. The scale rewarded me by being up a lb. No scale now until Friday.
Menu is completely up in the air as I don't know where we're eating but it will be Protein forward. Probably a protein bar for breakfast and after that who knows.
Even though it's not Photo Friday, I have to share this pic. Last night at my Costco run, I picked up a pair of jeans and a pair of jeggings. Had to talk myself into buying the size 10s instead of the 12a and I'm glad I did.
Anyway, I have to run. When I realized my post didn't post I pulled off to rewrite it and I need to pick up my boss and his boss.
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Teena, you look great and congrats on the smaller size! All the best on your travels.
QOTD: I save protein bars for the road or food emergencies. They have alot of calories and can be a slippery slope for me to cravings for other sweets.
Menu:
Breakfast: 1/4 cup of oatmeal, 1 hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Lemonade protein shake
Lunch: TJ's Herb Mustard salmon, baby carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: Turkey breast, broccoli slaw
Exercise: short walk, deep water aerobics

Love the look first of all!
QOTD: I have two HUGE bags of them. They vary in nutritional value. I usually only do one week which in this case will last me FOREVER!!! I like mission 1, fitjoy. Sometimes I do muscle tech cookies though they have a TON of carbs and I can only eat 1/2 or I'm out 380 calories I cannot spare! It really depends what my macros are for the day (how many carbs I've eaten). I try to eat 'rea' food instead at all times.
ok food for today:
leftover turkey meatloaf, came out a little salty last night. next time only 1/2 pack of mix, salt is very sensitive for me.
veggies
not sure what dinner is yet. I need to eat lettuce from garden
I do have some corned beef in the fridge thawing so I might do that.
Good morning! Fought off a migraine yesterday with only moderate success. Went to bed right after work and slept through the night and still have a pounding headache, though the nausea and blurred vision has subsided.
Qotd: never tried a protein bar I liked but maybe that's a good thing if I need to use them post-op...won't be tempted to have more than I need for traveling and such?
food today will include some sequence of the following items thrown into my lunch bag: Greek L&F, 3 oz deli turkey, tuna creations packet with 2 lettuce leaves, pickled carrots. Also, my work is providing lunch today (jimmy johns) but I might only grab a pickle because I am in love with their pickles.

Thank you. I've only in the last year or two been a migraine sufferer, now I get them at least once a month for 2-3 days at a time.

Migraines are really awful! I really hope you feel better. I had my first migraine at age 28, then went on to have them for almost 30 years! Finally post-menopause they have stopped - obviously for me there was a very strong hormonal component. My mom had them too, as does my daughter-in-law. No fun! My DIL uses a prescription drug for hers which allows her to continue to function, albeit somewhat groggily. I really liked Excedrin for Migraine, and suggest you try it if you don't use a prescription. Just try to take it as soon as your symptoms begin. It helped me, anyway. You won't be able to use this particular Excedrin formula post-op, though, as it contains aspirin.
Weirdly enough, Excedrin makes mine worse!
