What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
You lucky thing you! If I ate that much I'd be headed back up. Basically WLS was my only chance to lose the weight. I worked with a dietitian and weighed and measured before surgery.. She had me on 1200 calories a day and exercising one hour as vigorously as I could at 273 per day. In 4 months I lost 3 pounds. Thats when I really understood how bad my metabolism was. I had RNY shortly after that.
oh yea - that's pretty bad. But you're not alone. There are so many people on here that have the same issue. I consider myself really fortunate. The dietitian who worked with me during my six-month pre-op diet had me on 2300 calories a day, and I lost 57 lbs (I was used to eating 3000+). My DEXA scan showed I had quite a bit of muscle, so that may be part of it...
QOTD: Currently it's finding a good looking winter coat that fits me.
Costco has these great wool overcoats. Really good quality for the price. Even the smallest size is too big.
I haven't had my coffee yet so hope this makes sense. It's gloomy again today in Illinois but Lily and I did our 3.6 miles already. Lily was the motivator today as I just wasn't feeling it. We will do another mile after supper too. Accountability was a struggle but good. With youngest son home and having to pay for his health insurance for 5 more months our income is 750 dollars a month less. When money is tight I could very easily turn to food for comfort but I will just focus on one good choice at a time. QOTD the saggy stomach skin. Like Karen Ill never be able to have plastics because hubby is retired and I'm on disability but I will just live with what I have. The skin is a small price to pay for feeling so much better and being able to be so much more active. Post op 5 years 2 months and weight at 118.4 today. Heres the food for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chili D 31/2 oz ground beef with salsa and cheese 1/2 c green beans S 5 oz greek yogurt with 1 T granola. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goals.
I'm so sorry things are tight for you right now. Our kids do put monkey wrenches into things at times. Hopefully DS can pick up the cost on schedule. Thank goodness for Lily giving you some referred energy! My doggies make me go out too no matter how much I resist. I'm always glad in the end.

Good morning~ This week flew/yet crawled at the same time if that makes sense. It was all good stuff but exhausting. Thankful for this cold cloudy morning with my cup of coffee, food network and OH. Heading out in a little bit to walk the dogs and grocery shop then I'm probably home for the day. Plan to lay low and putter around the house and maybe accomplish a thing or two, but no pressure.
QOTD - What do I find annoying? The skin for sure. Its the only thing holding me back from feeling my best. If I could only have one procedure done it would be my arms. I am hoping to do it next year if all goes well. I enjoy the shopping very much!
Accountability - I caved with an emotional salty snack attack last night. There were a few handfuls of chips and cheese puffs. The good part about it was they weren't nearly as tasty as I thought or remembered them to be.
11 mo post op - 170.8 - same as yesteday
b-coffee w/hc, SB latte
brunch - omelette w/bacon and cheese
dinner - BBQ meat - no sure what yet
v/l - on track
e - walking the dogs
Have a great day everyone

Howdy,
Going out to the gym shortly so I can say I worked out 3 times this week with/without the trainer. So the big win today.......Drumroll........ I hit -40 pounds of weight loss in just less than 4 months as a 3x revision. Feeling really good about that. Only 19 to go! WOOOHOO!
QOTD: The annoying part is my batwings which should improve now that I am doing resistance training and the fact that I am getting really thin on top but my bottom half is slow motion. And weighing measuring stuff all the time. Blaaah!
Breakfast: Haven't had anything yet. Took sleeping pill and slept a solid 9 hours.
Lunch: Egg beaters and ham
Snack: cheese stick
Dinner: Chicken breast asparagus and the last of my faux cauliflower mashers.
Probably a yogurt with PB powder
Less than 700 calories, 90 grams protein, less than 20 carbs, all my vitamins and tons of water
