What's on your Friday Menu RNYers?Halloween/Fall Photo Friday!
Good morning!
My menu is much the same as yesterday.
B: I seem to have left the protein shakes this week in favour of this tuna/cottage cheese/cucumber mixture.
MS/AS: Oikos 000
L: Chili (the last of it, I'm afraid)
S: I'm not sure, but I've got a gig tonight with the band that will require me to just grab something quick. Likely a protein bar, and I'll take another one along with my water bottle for in between sets.
QOTD: I always have a hard time with questions like this. I suppose I would have to say that I'm loyal, and fiercely protective of my family and close friends. When I was a truck driver, my cb handle was "Dog" because of these traits, plus I took all the nasty runs nobody wanted to do and worked like one to get it done. Both of my parents passed that along to me.
I don't have any Hallowe'en photos, but I'll post something from last year that I'm looking forward to....
You just had to bring up the 'C' word, didn't you???

LOL I'm not as bad as my sisters and mom. They've all got their trees up. Some have an issue with that before remembrance day, but they (and I) still very much honour the vets on the 11th while really getting their enjoyment out of the beauty of Christmas. I don't think they've done the outdoor stuff, just the indoor has begun. Can't blame them, that's my favourite holiday.
Good morning! I'm SO glad it's the weekend. These long days at work are really draining. Of course, all of the overtime is completely voluntary, but it's really hard to pass up that extra Christmast money...
QotD: I'd like to think my favorite quality about myself is my ability to remember things that are important to other people. I tune in when people say what things they like and remember it, and enjoy surprising people with little tokens. Nothing big, but one of my coworkers told me she LOVES Ferrero Roches (who doesn't?) and recently she was having a bad couple of days, so I bought a little package and left them on her desk with a note. I have another friend who loves a particular brand of sunflower seeds, and they're hard to find, but I found some at a gas station when I was visiting my hometown, and brought them back for him. When people realize that I remembered these details about them, they always seem a bit bewildered that anyone even listened. It gives me the warm fuzzies.
Breakfast: protein shake-- I think I'm going to try replacing breakfast every other day? Whey protein is starting to make me super nauseous though (mostly the smell), so I don't know what I'm going to do when I actually NEED to use protein shakes for pre-op liquid and post op since I've been trying so many and they all make me want to vomit. I'm doing OK with the Isopure clear drinks (they might be new? I've only just started seeing them at my local grocery store) and I have a few Syntrax flavors I didn't mind.
Lunch: Tuna Creations packet (bacon ranch), string cheese, Greek L&F
Dinner: Whatever I pick up at the store. We're pretty skimpy on groceries right now
Photo is my "Where's Waldo" costume. I didn't try all THAT hard, this photo was for our company costume contest, but some of my coworkers went all out for it! I was super uncomfortable with someone taking a more-than-head-and-shoulders photo of me and it shows. Might be a good "before" photo though, I don't have a lot that are more than just my face and shoulders.
