confession
I'm glad you reached out to your program's therapist. Is there anyway you can see her more than once every six weeks? For a lot of people, that really isn't enough.
I can tell you, without a doubt, that I would not be where I am today without both the surgery AND therapy. I suggest it to everyone. As others said, they operate on our stomachs and not our brains. This stuff is hard... getting support from a professional is a good idea for many!
Hang in there!

I see my regular therapist every week. He helps too. I emailed them both today and both have provided support. I am very lucky to be able to reach them when I need them. I have been with my regular therapist for 10 yrs. as I have PTSD and chronic depression.
I made it through the afternoon. I plan on taking my son to the library after dinner to keep busy. TY all..

HI,
Tomorrow is a new day. I doubt that there is anyone that is here on this board that is perfect every day with their food. The only thing we can do is to try harder every day and create new habits.
My secret confession is that I like PB powder waaaay too much. And yes, I had a couple of pieces of sushi last week. But overall, I have to look at the progress I have made as a whole rather than beat myself up to death.
Hang in there and don't be so hard on yourself.

I'm pretty sure you'd have to eat a truckload of PB2 to really make a difference! I ate it every chance I could at first. I've now burnt myself out on it though.

you got really good feedback from others. I would ask to see a therapist asap. We all have our issues with food that is why we are here.
If you take the mission that you are not allowed to eat those things I think it might help you. Losing this weight needs to be a job for you.
Moving back to just liquids might make things worse for you, try adding dense protein like chicken, tuna etc - it will help keep the cravings at bay.
I have an apt in 4 days with the WLS therapist. Yesterday I stuck to liquids. It was important for me to do that so I didn't play head games with anything in the grey zone. Today, as I do every day, I have my food plan. I will pay close attention to my emotions and try to be kind to myself and use distraction whenever I can.
Thank You all very much for the feedback. It's very helpful.
