What's on your Wednesday menu RNYers?
Good morning and Happy November!
Hope everyone is doing well and survived all the Halloween temptations. We had a pretty good turnout- about 50 or so kids I guess - maybe more. My husband dressed up and was as excited as the kids. :)
QOTD: Have the foods that tempt you changed at all? Before surgery I was crazy about chips. I could easily eat a whole bag. I haven't had chips and they don't tempt me in the least- in fact when I hear my husband eating them I can actually feel it getting stuck in my teeth and it grosses me out a little *****ocolate is more of s temptation now but I've resisted mostly except for the very occasional small square of dark chocolate. Antioxidants, right? lol
Accountability- I did great yesterday. Completely on plan.
Menu today:
B: Fried egg and bacon
L: Chicken Salad
D: Not sure - maybe some veggie noodle spaghetti
Snack - Greek yogurt
Vitamins done
Have a great day everyone!

Losing the regain! I got this!
Good morning menu folks! I did well at our work Halloween party. I resisted the sweets and snacks and just had cheese and veggies. I was really proud of myself. I also had several people at the party approach me to say how good I looked and ask me what I was doing. My general answer was that I was eating well and exercise, which is true. I don't always talk about my surgery even though it isn't a secret. I felt good though to have people say they had noticed.
QOTD: I haven't had any of my big temptation foods -- chips, Cheetos, sweets -- but I do still crave them occasionally. I just have been able to resist them thus far. I don't know that I would be able to eat them in moderation.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake
Lunch: TJ's Balsamic grilled chicken
Snack: string cheese
Dinner: BBQ chicken, TJ's Hodge Podge veggies
Exercise: 2 short walks, I am still struggling with my cold and don't have my full energy back yet.

Trader Joe's has a frozen veggie medley called Harvest Hodge Podge. They have broccoli, water chestnuts, carrots, onions, mushrooms, and snap peas. I really like it.

Good morning! I did okay on Halloween and only ingested one snack size bar (they are all gone now). I?m frustrated because my balance beam scale is acting wonky. My BIL brought some weights over so I can try to calibrate it. It is COLD here (36 degrees) after being unseasonably warm for a long stretch.
QOTD: I still crave some of the stuff I used to but not as much or as frequently (breads, donuts, etc). I do crave almonds now sometimes which I never did previously. I forgot that I also crave English muffins with peanut butter - I had never tried them before!
1 year, 7 months post-op (maintenance). 8 work days to retirement (11/13).
This was yesterday's plan because dinner and snacks were completely different:

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Shrimp
S: yogurt, baked apple
