What's on your Tuesday (Halloween!) Menu RNYers?
I LOVE mixing SF jello into my Greek Yogurt!
Accountability: I've been having a week of small picky pouch issues so over all my cheats have been minimal. I'm getting most of my calories from protein powder mixed with either liquids or soft foods. Even something as simple as an egg sandwich is torture to get down right now so over all I've been very good!
QOTD: When I was in Kindergarten (maybe around 1972?) I dressed up as a dog. I had brown tights, a brown turtleneck and a plastic dog mask. My mom cut out "spots" from white paper and glued them to my brown outfit and sent me out the door with a "just keep quiet and no one will guess who you are" (I was a talker - still am a talker) It never occurred to her that I would actually NOT TALK. But when asked any question I dutifully barked. When the teacher attempted removing my mask I growled and wiggled away. One other girl, about my size, was absent that day and the school finally called both parents to figure out which one I was, and which was absent! The teacher thought I had to be the other girl because she was more quiet and shy...
My second favorite costume was in 2002, when a few of my friends got together and dressed up as characters from Harry Potter, this was after the first couple movies had been released but the series was only half written. I was Hermione, and my faithful mastiff "Maestro" was Fang :)

Happy Halloween! I got my cardio clearance today, woohoo! One more thing crossed off the list.
Qotd: I was Raggety Ann when I was little and it was super adorable, and this year is the first year in a long time I've dressed up as Waldo (Where's Waldo). My work took photos and is doing a costume contest but I likely won't win. I'll post the photo Friday, and it might be my new "before" pic. Good lord I feel like I look huge in the photo, and now I'm embarrassed that it's circulating through the company. Horizontal Waldo stripes weren't a good choice

snack: Greek L&F

Happy Halloween!
I trick-or-treated with my little brother throughout my childhood. The lady at one of the houses on the street next to ours would invite trick-or-treaters in for an ice cream cone! It was a strange thing to offer because it was usually quite a cold night to begin with, plus you couldn't just carry the cone with the rest of your candy haul, but had to eat it then and there. We avoided that house from then on. One year, at another house, we were invited in to show off our costumes. There were a few adults sitting in a den with a fire going. They gave us some candy, then held out a bowl of individually wrapped golden-colored butterscotch candies, telling us to give them to our parents. The butterscotch wrappers were printed with "Vote for Goldwater!". That was in 1964. I grew up in a very old-school Republican (not at all populist) town, in a blue state.
I loved making costumes for my son. One memorable one was a lion, when he was in kindergarten...such happy days! i remember a wonderful King costume too. One year when he was in 5th grade, he meticulously designed his own elaborate robot/tank costume. It was incredibly detailed and creative!

Hello menu friends -
I haven't posted in a while. I have been pretty much staying on track, with the exception of a few (5) 1/2 cappuccino, 1/2 coffees in the last week. They are too high in carbs and calories that I don't need. I have now been cappuccino free for two days and will continue to be.
I have been busy both at work and spending time with visiting family. The next two weeks will not be any better. I have to work 60 hours of overtime the next 2 weeks. I will love the check, but my body won't love it. I probably won't post much during this time.
I have been in a stall since Oct. 21st. The scale finally moved today , it showed a 2 pound loss. I tried on a smaller pair of pants last night to see if they would fit...and they did. I am now in a size 12.
QOTD: I have not dressed up in a Halloween costume since I was in elementary school. I really don't remember any of my childhood costumes.
Menu for the next three workdays:
B - SF hot chocolate mixed with coffee, 1/2 cup protein powder, SF creamer mixed with iced coffee.
B2 - Tuna Pouch
L - 3.8 oz Shrimp with ****tail sauce, small spinach salad
D - Salmon Burger, small spinach salad
S - Tuna pouch, 100 calories pack almonds, SF hot chocolate mixed with decaf coffee
Calories - 648, Protein - 91, Carbs - 31
Have a great Halloween everyone!!

Howdy,
QOTD: The last time I wore a costume was in the 1980's. I used to do singing telegrams when I lived in Miami and wore this cute French Maid uniform or the bellgirl with the clapping monkey. Yup, I did that.. Maybe when I get to goal, I will dress up for Halloween like Morticia from Adams Family.....!
Food for today. Trying an experiment. My surgeon and primary care both think I am not getting enough protein so I am upping my calories for a few days and my protein. So instead of one shake, having two and adding a little bit of calories to support these workouts. Since I am 20 something from goal, I am willing to see how this works for a week.
Breakfast: Protein shake 25 grams protein 120 calories
Lunch: 1/2 low carb wrap with ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, teaspoon of lf miracle whip 185 calories

Dinner: 1/2 cup of chili on one ounce of high protein pasta with arugula salad and two tb of beets
