What's on your Monday Menu RNYers?
I had a similar experience but this weekend but with a different place, this one being a local church-run thrift store. They did not have prices marked on each item, but the rack said "starting at $1.99!"
im pre-op, but I've been collecting smaller size jeans and pants when we go thrifting, if I see something in like-new shape, I have even collected a few that still had original tags! Anyway, I take my funds to the register to find that these jeans are selling for $30+. They may have been designer but I don't care about that, though maybe some would still think they're getting a bargain. I walked out without the jeans. I can buy brand new jeans at Walmart for less, and like you said, what if I were someone in actual need of shopping thrift for lack of money?

I had the same type of thing buying tools at a yard sale. I had a handful of things which totalled $20. Most people sticker stuff higher than they want and leave room for haggling. I offfered $13 because some of the things they had were "Dollarama" brand stuff, and they actually wanted MORE than the retail. She acted like I had shot her and was quite adamant that my offer was ridiculous. I asked for a counter offer and she refused. I just smiled and set it back on the table, wished her and the tools a long and happy life together, and walked away. Unreal. When I have a yard sale, not much ever goes back in the house, I want it gone. LOL
Ditto! I usually have a sticker price but really I'll take whatever a person is willing to pay (and if they seem in desperate need, I'll just give it to them.)

Goodwill does the same thing... they put their 'designer' jeans behind a case and price them much higher than every other pair of jeans in the store... they do it with purses and some shoes too. It irritates me to no end.

Hi everybody, happy Moon-day!
I am still taking just the Bariatric Fusion multi-vitamins recommended by my surgery center, 4 times a day. I've queried this with them, and they insist it's sufficient as is. I like them and they taste like dessert, but I am likely going to segue over to a mix of other vitamins fairly soon. I will see what my labs say.
First: Cinnamon Buns protein drink
B: Turkey Breast, cottage cheese
L: Ham off the bone, Cheddar
D: not sure yet, but protein forward...maybe some soup with added protein powder
Have a lovely day today!

I have figured out, finally, how to get adequate fluids in, after having struggled with this since my operation: 20-ounce mugs of tea! I have herbal teas or black tea, with a tiny bit of sweetener, and a little cashew milk (25 calories per 8 ounce cup). I had FIVE of these yesterday and enjoyed them without once feeling I was forcing matters. Already on my 2nd one today! I know straight, plain water is the best and most wholesome, but I'm happy I'm getting more fluids in regardless.
Good morning! I'm off wor****il Thursday so plan to enjoy some relaxation.
Accountabilty: I was on plan yesterday.
QOTD: I take 6 calcium citrate pills, 2 sublingual B12, centrum chewable multi, extra Vit c and 2 multi gummies all daily.
Menu: B: latte, eggbeaters, two sausage links, 1/2 an orange L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots S: zucchini chips, salami, string cheese and nuts D: turkey breast and mashed cauliflower topped with cheese and bacon bits ES: homemade Greek yogurt mixed with canned pumpkin and fiber cereal.
Exercise: one hour stair-climber and 40 mins elliptical
E/W on track
I hope everyone has a great day!
