There are at least a few people active on OH here supposedly but I don't know how I'd find them except by chance. There are a LOT of people.

I was imagining name tags with your OH name on them!

I thought that would be the case as well but they have our "Real" name.

Sorry the OH conference isn't turning out as you'd hoped.

It's been good, just a bit lonely yesterday. But today I had an OH "buddy": Cecily C! The sessions were really good today too - will describe in more detail tomorrow.

that is so weird that so many of the conference goers aren't active on OH - and even *weirder* that there are some who haven't even heard of it! You wonder where they heard about the conference - maybe their support groups? Weird. I'd totally be up to going to one if it was in the Midwest. And having a couple of people I knew from OH would make it a lot more fun.

Yes it seemed that most of them heard about it through in-person support groups. One woman from Massachusetts won a ticket through her support group aligned with Brigham and Women's in Boston. She had me write down the OH online information for her.

I remember that feeling being at the OAC convention.... weird being thin, and people questioning whether you had surgery....

being active on OH, it's easy to forget that we're outliers. Very few people who start out SMO end up normal weight. But there are a bunch of us on here, so it's easy to think that's the norm. I can totally see how other WLS'ers would think we didn't have WLS.
