I'm having my surgery in 2 weeks. Can you describe what the first couple of weeks after are like? I'm just having a hard time picturing the diet I've been given, wondering if you felt hunger or just ate when you were supposed to, how much exercise you were able to get in during the first month? (I know everyone is different, but I would love to hear experiences!) And congrats!!!
CONGRATS on your upcoming surgery:) The diet part was a breeze for me, I had researched this for 10 years before finally doing it. It's basically an extension of the pre-op diet. I just made sure I got my water in daily and my surgeon wanted me just aim for 40 of protein for the first week. I just gradually upped my protein daily. I think the only thing I did differently was that I added oatmeal a couple days earlier, just cause I needed a change. I didn't have any nausea and was able to keep everything down. I hope I answered all your questions. Good luck on your journey.
