What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
My menu is not definite on the weekend either (and on many week days as well). I consider what I post to be a guideline where I might make some switches but still have the same basics (like switch one protein for another or one snack for another acceptable one). I don't consider those to be breaking my plan. Adding extra snacks or things like simple carbs are where I feel I've broken plan, especially when they push my calories up over the average by a lot (which they usually do).

Good morning! NO specific plans this weekend, though I think there will be beach walks (and maybe eating lunch/reading on the beach). DH and I didn't make it to Provincetown yesterday (long story), so took a hike of about 4.5 miles instead and we were tired. It is supposed to be sunny and 70 here!
QOTD: Caffeinated coffee is #1. I have about 24-32 ounces between the time I get up and noon (I get up between 5 and 6 am these days). I also drink about 32 ounces of water during that time. I am always super thirsty now that I am used to drinking a lot of liquid, probably because I do reduce the amount after 6-7 at night (so I can sleep through the night without having to go to the bathroom). I do drink at least another 32 ounces of liquids in the afternoon.
I lost a couple of pounds on CAMAW and reduced my carb cravings (yeah!), but I'm glad to be able to add veggies, etc back in.
1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 13 work days to retirement (11/13).
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: shrimp and vegetarian chili (just edited for reality)
D: eggplant lasagne (SIL making it - she waited until I was done with CAMAW)
S: Baked apple, yogurt

I agree - The best part of the challenge is the reduced cravings and hunger. Also the reminder that my tool works. I really missed veggies too!

Morning RNY'ers!! I too have had a whirlwind week and haven't posted to the menu thread. I'm sure I set out each day to start a post, but got sidetracked. If intentions were golden...
I've been having some complications with birth control. I'll have to have an outpatient surgery to have my iUD removed from wherever it's floated off too. In the interim my doc had me try the ring. Tried it out for 3 weeks and gained 6#. No, no, no! I'm quitting it immediately; hubby has a consult for a vasectomy. I'm so done with birth control.
Qotd: I drink anywhere between 8 and 16 oz, usually water, sometimes crystal light before breakfast. It's become such a habit, I have a separate water bottle Just for my nightstand that I fill each evening before going to bed. I sip through the night, and fini**** off in the morning.
Plans for today, an alumni luncheon for my hubby's school on the Spirit of Philadelphia (boat). Run is done-- Nothing else planned.

m2: luncheon thing- so I'm not sure what'll be offered

Good morning weekenders! Today is supposed to be gloomy and rainy, so we have a "planned" lazy day. Lazy with intention! Anyone else do that? I did all the running around last night specifically so I wouldn't have to today. We'll still go to the gym as per usual, but afterwards it's sweat pants, baggy T-shirt, and Netflix for us! I do have laundry to fold and dishes to do, and I'll paint my nails at some point. Even on lazy days I still need something to do with my hands.
Qotd: caffeinated coffee all morning with SF creamer, and then lots of water the rest of the day. My surgeon is anti-caffeine so after surgery I'll probably join the "decaf with protein creamer" group.
I never have a solid food plan on weekends. I usually make breakfast, likely bacon and eggs today. DH has requested "rainy day food" so I'm doing chili in the crock pot. But lunch is up in the air. Maybe deli turkey and cottage cheese.

Mornin' everyone! So glad this week is over and the weekend is here. Yesterday I stayed home from work and was able to decompress...I barely moved from the couch honestly. Today will be more productive and fun. We are taking the dogs for a long walk at the park and hitting the dog park also, running errands, shopping, house stuff, maybe going bowling this afternoon, BBQ tonight, I'd like to get some reading in - feeling Jane Austen-y lately, craving it actually. Sense and Sensibility sounds so good right now.
QOTD - COFFEE before anything else. I have a cup at home and a very large coffee from Starbucks after that. I have to have caffeinated, the stronger the better. I really think it's for the flavor, decaf doesn't taste nearly as good. The caffeine may or may not be a bonus, but it doesn't seem to effect me. I make sure I drink tons of fluids and most days I'm 120-160 ounces. I remember how hard it was to drink 64 not to long ago and now it's nothing.
Accountability was good, but I'm telling you -the only thing that got me through last night was knowing I could have cream in my coffee this morning and eggs for breakfast. AMAW IS OVER!!
11 mo post op today! - 8 pounds this month! -168 (AMAW loss 2.5)
b - coffee w/hc -heaven, SB iced coffee w/hh - can't wait, glorious eggs!!
l-we may go out to eat, so grilled chicken probably. If home, lemon chicken
d-BBQ Chicken and hot Italian sausage w/roasted red peppers
I eat a ton of chicken apparently, lol
v/l - on track
e- walk about 2+ miles with the pups
Have a great day everyone!
