Feel better! I miss being able to use Excedrin for Migraines, that stuff was magical. I hope your headache disappears very soon.

Good Morning and a much needed Friday-eve..it's been a long week. I had an appt with my cardiologist as a follow up to my low resting heart rate and blood pressure when I was getting my iron infusion last month. It was low yesterday too so they did an EKG which looked okay but just to be sure there aren't any underlying issues and that my heart just doesn't need to beat as much as "normal" they are doing an echo-cardiogram next week and in early November I will wear a monitor for 24 hours. At least they aren't too concerned and want me to maintain my exercise routine during this time so they can get a true picture of what my heart is doing.

QOTD: Probably watch tv, although I really need to get out the blanket I am crocheting, I haven't had it out in about a month.

Time since surgery: 3 years 2 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Spaghetti squash casserole and baby carrots

S: Albacore lettuce wraps, string cheese, mixed nuts and a SF popsicle when I get home

D: 3 cheese chicken sausage and edamame

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF jam and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1205 Protein:126 Carbs:69 Fat:53

Have a great one!

Top of the morning everyone. All continues well on the CAMAW front. I have to get use to my protein numbers being a little higher than usual ;)

An hour free. I have to admit I try to carve out an hour each night to catch up on a favorite show, watch some hockey or read. I sleep better when I grab that hour and unwind at the end of the day. I'm excited for the upcoming premiere of Season 8 of The Walking Dead. I just finished the Compendium 3 of the graphic novels on Monday (they were comic books when I was a kid - but hey, it sounds good). Oddly the end of Compendium 3 aligns with the first half of season 8, so I'm interested to see the story unfold and what is different - as the books and show aren't 100% the same. Also when I was in Door County I found out that they have been writing novels that are back stories to some of the characters - so I've just started reading The Rise of the Governor.

Accountability - really good and so much better about the grazing at the end of the day. CAMAW has started to break the grazing cycle at the end of the day. I haven't even replaced the little this and that with Jerky, which I thought I would. I just eat a small handful of nuts (.3 oz - yep, I measured) and include that in my plan.

B - Fage and pumpkin seeds

S - 2 hardboiled eggs (only eating 1/3 of one of the yolks)

L - lean corned beef and low fat hard salami 1.9 oz each and a small salad with 5 almonds

S - Syntrax - going Kiwi today. Lemonade yesterday was a disaster for me. It's the first flavor I dumped half way through. It's odd that some flavors mix really well and others just clump (same conditions to mix each day). But Lemonade was really bitter to my taste and also I could taste the protein. I don't experience that with the other flavors I like.

D - Going to support group tonight, so going to a nearby Thai restaurant before the meeting. They make a great thai chicken salad. They use iceberg lettuce, so I just ask them to give me the meat usually anyway. So it will work well with CAMAW.

S - popsicles maybe (depends how late I get home from support group)

I have to have a "every 10 year procedure" (if you know what I mean) as I'm now in the age range. That means I have to come off the coumadin for a week. That's always fun, as I had to do that a year ago when I had the surgery. Lots of injections for a week of Lovenox. So I have such a fun Thanksgiving vacation week planned. Tuesday prep; Wednesday procedure. Then since I'm off coumadin, I'm having 2 teeth pulled that same afternoon (been waiting for the next time I had to cycle off coumadin). Then the next day I get to eat Turkey. Yes, I plan vacations well ;)

HW 510 / SW 424/ GW 175 (stretch goal to get 10 under) / CW 160 (I'm near the charts ideal weight - wonder if I can stay here)

Good Morning Teena and Menu Family!

QOTD: I have a lot of free time. I enjoy reading, playing with my dogs, working with my house plants, watching TV, going for walks.

Accountability: I keep writing down that we're going to have rib-eye steak, but dinner time gets here and I end up eating something else, but it's always CAMAW compliant. I need to eat up that expensive rib-eye steak before it gets too old! Yesterday: Protein - 105, Calories - 1,047, Carbs - 50.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: hamburger patty with melted cheese, light & fit Greek yogurt

D: rib-eye steak, light & fit Greek yogurt

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, moon cheese

E: walking my dog around the subdivision

Have a great day everyone!

~ Karen
