FOOD MAKING YOU SICK
Ok I will try that, but I thought we couldn't have spaghetti sauce due to the sugar that is in it. I wasn't told that by my doctor just looking at the label I determined that.

Some brands of spaghetti sauce have more sugar than others, so it helps to read the labels for the different brands. I usually get Newman's Own, which doesn't add any extra sugar. My surgeon's rule is that if sugar (including stuff like corn syrup or other sweeteners) isn't in the first three ingredients, you're pretty much OK.
Alternately, you can get a can of plain crushed tomatoes in juice, and add in some Italian seasoning! :)

I was told to wait 6 months before having beef, but I know that that's not true for everyone. I ate (and still do eat) alot of fish. That seemed to settle well in my stomach.

Six years later, ground beef and chicken STILL catch me off guard if they are not moist enough. Add some mayo or sour cream or butter or something... and then if there is still a problem, lay off them a few months and try again.

I am not a doctor, but I play one at work.
I am 6 weeks and 1 day out from surgery. I get that tight feeling in my pouch almost every time I eat. Sometimes it feels like I am going to vomit and other times it just take a 15 to 30 minutes and then I feel fine. Sometimes I think I will have no problem and them I am vomiting. I never know what I eat will stay down or come back up. I just keep trying and learning.
