Good morning,
Did well yesterday and feel great this morning. Long day, but energized and will walk in the beautiful sunshine with my daughter and granddaughter when I get home tonight.
I am a morning person. Usually bounce out of bed and happy, but incoherent after 10 p.m. - lol.
B - protein shake and black decaf
S - Armstrong cheese stick
L - Crab meat and low fat mayo
S - Pillers Turkey bite
D - Chicken breast with 1 oz. cheddar cheese and 1 tbsp. Tzatziki
S - Skyr with Davinci French Vanilla syrup (couldn't find Torani's) - Thanks Meg for the suggestion. It adds flavour and takes away some of the tartness.
Calories: 814, Protein: 102, Carbs: 27. All water and vitamins.

Good morning menu peeps! Lily and I have our 3.6 miles in and will do another mile after supper. Accountability was good yesterday but fluids were down so that's my goal for today. Post op 5 years 1.5 months and weight at 118.6 today. QOTD Im not really a morning person but I do automatically wake early since surgery. Once I get my first cup of coffee Im chipper and have far more energy in the am that the pm. That's why even on days like today when I'm not feeling it I still get up early amd get a long walk in. If it hadnt been for Lily today it wouldnt have gotten done! Heres the food for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey with cheese 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz baked chicken thigh 1/2 c mixed veggies S sm apple 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goals! Now off to get some coffee.
Morning Menu Peeps and C/AMAW folks!
Yesterday I did well, in that I stayed on CAMAW, however I just plain ate too much. Total breakdowns over carb withdrawls... but, onward and upward... Hopefully today will be better with less cravings!
Accountability: Last night I ended up eating grilled round steak for dinner. Yes. Round steak. Yes. Grilled. Hubs took it out yesterday morning and marinated it, and then when I asked what it was he told me sirloin - but he really didn't know... he just grabbed a bag of frozen beef (still not a great choice, but with so much beef in the freezer, I was fine with it). It wasn't until I was literally throwing it on the grill that I looked at it and realized what it was. I tried to BARELY cook it, with hopes that the marinade would help. Nope. I threw a big 3-yo fit about the whole thing, and for the rest of the night my son was teasing me walking around going "It's ROUND steak... OMG... ROUND steak"... I guess you had to be there, but he successfully and peacefully detonated a bomb and had us all laughing. Suffice to say, I WILL NOT be eating the leftover ROUND steak -- ick. I had more cottage cheese than I should have, to help get the TOUGH ROUND steak down. It did have good flavor, but that's so not what I would have done with round steak. Sigh.
Weight this morning was actually UP! 138.6. Today will be less meat sticks and more water with Miralax. Hopefully that'll help. Weight could be from the meat sticks, or just residual from my girls weekend and road tripping, which was ugly.

D: Chicken legs are out, but we're out of propane on the grill, so probably baked
Overall not excited about this menu at all, so I need to come up with different things for the rest of the week!

Oops... QOTD: I wake up early now... don't know if that's WLS related, or age related... I guess I've become more of a morning person, but I resent it I do like it quiet though, and I'll admit that grabbing that first cup of coffee while everyone else is asleep is pretty nice... maybe one day I'll embrace my new morning person ways, and feel the love.

Honestly, not getting excited about my menu is my biggest issue! I need to get more spice and flavour in my life. I really don't need carbs to make food exciting but my mind seems to think i do. I had Pork Tenderloin on Sunday that was overcooked but I slathered melted butter on it and it turned out okay (I didn't actually slather it on but it made it edible. )
