What's on your Tuesday menu RNYers? And AMAW/CAMAW day 2!
Good morning everyone! I'm back in the office today so fighting traffic right now. Well my co-worker is. I'm typing this post lol.
I went to the chiropractor yesterday for the first time in 2.5 years. He was really pleased with my weightloss and explained some things about my changing body. I've been having sciatic pain and he said that nerve is basically exposed right now because I've lost the fat that was protecting it and now I have to build the muscle so that it will protect that nerve. He explained a bunch of other stuff too and I'm really glad I went.
QOTD: I'm sure this has been asked before but are you a morning person? I don't like to sleep in but I'm not super happy and cheery in the morning. I don't think I'm grumpy either but my hubby - who hates mornings- can be very chipper and happy, especially when he's really tired. Anyway, that drives me crazy! Not the happy part - but he will come over and shake my shoulder or tug my hair or other silly stuff. Give me an hour buddy- and at least let me have my coffee!
Accountability: First day of AMAW was awesome! No cheats at all. I had 3 carbs yesterday from the turkey pepperettes. And I was down 2 lbs this morning! So 174.1 and officially 120 lbs lost.
Menu: There's no order to the following, they're all in my lunch bag but here's how I think it will go:
B: Deli ham- 3 ounces
S: 2 ounces of kielbasa
L: 2 Chicken drumsticks
2nd S: 3 ounces pork loin
I don't know what's for dinner because my husband's uncle is visiting from PA and we are going to my in-laws for supper. It will probably be ham or chicken.
vitamin patches are on and extra calcium and vitamin d in my bag for when I eat breakfast.
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
So interesting about your sciatic pain! We just go through all kinds of changes losing all this weight, don't we?! Hopefully your muscles will start to strengthen and cover that nerve back up sooner than later! Sorry you're dealing with that. I remember having serious Sciatica nerve issues while being pregnant, that's really painful!

QOTD: I am NOT a morning person. I hate mornings but I have to be teaching at 7:15 am.... I survive but it's not how I like to roll. I don't like getting up super late either but if I had my way, I'd get out of bed between 8 and 9.

Good morning menu folks! It's definitely fall here in MD. The temperature is really cool this morning and my fingers are chilled.

I have always NOT been a morning person but since RNY, I have a hard time sleeping in. seems my body just wants to get up at the same time. I'm not sure if that makes me a morning person but there you have it
I'm not on the challenge this week but I ate indian yesterday and it was great. no rice, just meats, yogurt. Also had 2 chicken drums for breakfast, tuna for dinner, and a whole heap of peanut butter. was not happy with myself on that one.
plans for today
gizzards
chicken
yogurt/jello
Your food looks yummy and is making me hungry.
QOTD: Definitely a morning person. And I hate it that I can't sleep in even on the occasion that I do have the time. On the weekend I have been known to let our kitty in the bedroom after I've been up a few hours so he will wake up DH instead of me. DH is on to me now though.
Accountability: Much better than the last few weeks and the number on the scale dropped to the high end of my comfort zone this morning. Still more work to do.....
B: Protein Coffee
L: 3 oz. deli turkey, celery
S: Premier protein clear strawberry
D: 3-4 oz. baked chicken
S: Almonds

my last class is at 8:00 this morning - Halleleujah! (sp?). I technically am scheduled for two more the first week in November, but the graduate assistants teach those, and we just assist. So glad this is over - now I can get caught up with everything that's been sidelined these last six weeks...
weight up this morning. Not sure if it's just a delayed reaction from going off plan over the weekend, or if it's all the bran cereal I've been eating. I did pretty well yesterday, so... Could be either. Hopefully it'll be gone tomorrow.
QOTD: I'm definitely more alert in the morning, but I'm not a crack-of-dawn person. So I'm a morning person within reason. If anything important has to get done, I always try to get to it in the morning.
2 years 4 months out:
B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with Crio Bru grounds
S: coffee with half & half, SF pumpkin vanilla latte shake
L: tuna/chickpea salad in a FlatOut FoldIt
D: chicken/apple/pecan salad
probably another yogurt later - although I really need to watch my calories the next couple of days....
Weird OH behavior for me this morning. I can't see some of the widgets and the LIKE button won't load. Also, this reply window is TINY! I restarted my IPad and it still is having problems, but my iPhone is ok (weird still). I can't edit on the iPad or get paragraphs there either.
I stayed true to CAMAW though my menu changed a lot (DS brought home halibut). I'm already a bit constipated though (already a bit there before yesterday).
QOTD: I get up early, but I don't like talking to anyone until around 9. I like my quiet, alone time.
1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 17 work days to retirement (11/13).
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and ham
L: roast turkey (or ham) and cheese
D: Halibut
