Good Morning Erin and Menu Family!

My family and I went to a haunted cornfield maze last night. It was a lot of fun, even though the wind was brutally cold and there were mobs of people there. We paid the extra $10 to avoid a 1 1/2 hour wait which was well worth it! There were a lot of cool animatronics and actors who jumped out at you and scared you. The scariest part was probably walking through the woods / cornfield on the uneven path in the pitch dark and trying not to stumble and fall. We had a great time and it was a lot of fun! I wouldn't have been up for walking that far when I was MO but it was a piece of cake now.

QOTD: A while back someone on OH posted about two women who lost everything in the Louisiana floods and needed 3X & 4X clothing. So I packed up all my outgrown clothes and shipped two huge boxes to those two ladies. There were a few of my favorite tops that I was sad to see go, but I felt good donating my clothes to such a worthy cause.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 78, Calories - 1,030, Carbs - 100.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: turkey meal

D: beef pot roast meal

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, Atkin's peanut butter cups.

E: Walking

Have a GREAT day everyone!

Still fighting with hypoglycemia. After a moderate hike yesterday, burger and a beer- my blood glucose was 65 mg/dl (hypoglycemic). Scarily, I FELT FINE. This is how i end up passing out....by not frequently testing after mild or moderate exercise. A leisurely 30 minute walk will drop my BG 20 points in 30 minutes.

QOTD: No. I donated them to charity, took the tax write-off and NEVER LOOKED BACK!!!

B1 (5.30a) BG-104: Baked eggs in homemade tomato sauce, black olives and pepperoni

B2 (7.30a) BG-92: 1/4 cup bananna coconut milk steel cup oats

Snack 1: (9.30a): Depends on BG

Snack 2 (before running group): 1/2 granola bar to raise BG before running group

Snack3 (while running): one piece dried fruit (plums, dates or apricots) every 0.5 miles (I tanked after a hike yesterday with a BG of 65)

Lunch (1p): Tuna salad SNACK kit with crackers (after the run). The snack kit has 300 calories. How is that a SNACK? That is a meal!

Snack4: Depends on BG-probably 1/2 pepperoni stick and raw broccoli and cauliflower

Snack 5: Depends on BG. Probably other 1/2 and raw broccoli.

Dinner- crack slaw =/- (based on BG) 1 or 2 potstickers

High protein before bed snack-2 oz pot roast.

Rainy morning with a brisk wind here in Illinois. Lily and I got up to the park and it started pouring so we ran back home. We only got 11/4 miles done so we'll try to do more later if the rain stops. Now I have to dry my hair before I can curl it for church too. QOTD I had no problem getting rid of my heaviest things as they were huge and pretty unstylish but some of my intermediate clothes were harder. I did do it though. I didn't want to give myself a chance to comfortably gain any weight so everything in my closet fits well at the size I want to stay. It motivates me to keep making good choices day after day. Post op 5 years 1.5 months and weight at 118 today. Heres the food for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz pork loin chop 1/2 c mixed veggies S 5 oz cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added blackberry jam. Have a great day and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goals. Later!

Hey Everyone, Not 100% sure about my menu today. I don't have a great plan for what we are doing. My best guess is protein coffee + chicken skewers + steak, but I could be totally wrong. I am nt going to bother putting it into MFP until I am more certain of our plans for the day.

Accountability: Good few days, and the scale is responding nicely.

QOTD: I had no issues getting rid of the biggest things in my wardrobe, but I have had a harder time getting rid of the new things I bought as I was dropping weight quickly. I have a bunch of size 6s and 8s in the back of the closet that are currently too big. I should get rid of them, but I am not confident enough that I won't need these sizes again soon. I am holding onto them like a stupid security blanket/safety net.

Thats what they are--a safety net. Donate them now. Someone else needs them more than you do JB.

Like Karen said...they are a safety net....but not "safe" at all! Please get rid of them... I didn't get rid of mine and now as I lose my regain I'm wearing my old clothes again....(might be an unhealthy form of punishment...) I'm not noticing a lot of purple or brown out there! It's hard to live in the NOW when you leave part of your body image in the BACK THEN!!!!

Good morning all.... Quiet day today... Hubby is going to watch football all day so I am going to take advantage of that and get back into the training videos for work, because of my job I have to watch all the videos and I mean all of them not just job specific.

QOTD: In the beginning I had a really hard time throwing away clothes but then the pile of bags kept piling up and when I had 5 or 6 30 gallon bags in our family room my husband finally said either you take them to goodwill or the mission or I am going to do it for you. I do have a few pieces that I kept just because but since then I have gotten much better of when I have a bag full I get rid of the bag.

So... I finally got some chobani yogurt coffee creamer and while I did not hate the taste of it I do not think it was worth the calories and it did have an appearance of curdled milk when put into the coffee. I think I will be going back to the premier because premier is less calories and more protein but at least I can say I tried them.

Food for the day:

B: coffee with chobani yogurt coffee creamer. Watermelon and sausage

L: Salami and mozzarella roll ups

D: left over chicken and biscuits minus the biscuits

Enjoy the day friends.....
