Howdy,

Decided to be more extreme on my intake to get these pounds off quickly. At 600 calories a day and yogurt or dairy, I wasn't losing. I am now at less than 500 calories and sticking to almost all protein. My husband doesn't understand why I am doing this or how I can be so metabolically challenged but my body doesn't like carbs....:(

Breakfast: Protein shake 150 calories 30 grams protein

Lunch: Protein shake 150 calories 30 grams protein

Dinner: Chicken breast 4 ounces and small green salad 200 calories 35 grams protein

Maybe a cheesestick? Or nothing

500-560 calories less than 10 carbs. (my vitamins and chewable calcium have carbs) and 72 ounces of liquids and all my vitamins

Good morning~ I am excited for AMAW! Today is a short day at work for me. I am leaving at 12 to take care of some business, visit my moms grave and then go see my dad. It will nice to spend a beautiful sunny afternoon on the coast.

QOTD - There are no tolls around where I live, but there is a toll on the Golden Gate Bridge going into San Francisco. I think it's 6 or 7 bucks? I don't know, but you don't actually pay at the bridge - they mail you a bill using your plate/DMV info.

Accountability - BBQ last night was tough - all my favorite foods where there, but I did great.

10 mo post op - 172!

b-coffee w/hc, SB iced coffee w/hh, 1/2, HB eggs

l-tri tip

d- pork chop

es-SF popsicles

v/l - on track

e-not today

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Surgiversary, Teena!!! 117 pounds in only 9 months is pretty remarkable! It is disheartening when the scale starts to slow, but that doesn't mean you can't still get to goal. You'll get there, I just know it!

QOTD: We have tolls roads in Oklahoma... one major one takes you between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, and if you don't use it, your trip is twice as long. I think it's around $10.00 to go one way on that one. I use a portion of a toll road most mornings to get to work. I costs me around $40/month total, for all of our charges. You get a discount if you have a Pike Pass, so all of our vehicles have one. Not sure how much it saves, but without it you have to stop and pay the toll on your drive, so for that reason alone, I have the sticker.

Weight this morning, 136.2 just shy of 17 months out/ maintenance menu

Disclaimer: This weekend is a girl's weekend in Broken Bow, OK... friends from Georgia and Texas are coming, and I already know (with what I've packed in my car alone), this will be a messy weekend for my eating... and drinking for that matter! I will work hard to keep protein high on my list, but beyond that, I am giving myself a couple of days of naughtiness. Looking forward to CAMAW on Monday - it couldn't come at a better time!!!

B: 3.5 ounces of taco meat/cheese stick

L: I have 2 grilled chicken legs with me, may only eat one, we'll see

After this, I'm on the road! I've packed good snacks for the road trip, beef jerky, Chomps meat sticks, pepperoni, salami and cheese sticks, and a couple of protein bars. I'll use some of this to fill in for meals - like tomorrow morning when our host has already planned donuts for our road trip (going to Frisco tonight, then to Broken Bow in the morning). IF I have a donut in the morning, it WILL be coupled with protein so as not to throw me into an RH episode - I've not had a donut even once since surgery... I don't THINK I'll start tomorrow (unless there's an apple fritter in the box, then all bets are off - and I DID NOT tell our hostess that I love them, on purpose...).

I've worked hard since I hit maintenance to not have any big swings in my weight. I landed slowly into a maintenance level of eating and have kept it there for many months now... I anticipate a gain this weekend, but I'm also ready to go on Monday morning with my CAMAW to offset any damage I will do during the next few days.

I'm hoping this works... I won't lie. I'm looking forward to throwing caution to the wind and partaking in things I don't usually do, but I also have to be real and now that I'm in Maintenance, I think I can do it! Wish me luck!

Since I won't be here tomorrow, I'll close with a picture of the 5 of us taken almost 2 years ago. I had decided right around this time that surgery was in my near future... I was 238 in this picture, and over the 7 months that followed prior to surgery, I gained another 22 pounds... I think I had food funerals for months just getting my head ready to have surgery! Crazy... SMH.

I haven't seen these ladies since this weekend that the picture was taken. I'm really excited to have a new updated picture of us!

I am super late posting today. I actually got somewhat of a decent night?s sleep. I went to bed at 10:00, woke up at 12:00, was up to 1:30, and then slept until 7:00. This was actually a good night for me.

I sit on the board of a day shelter for women and children. Last night I went to the ribbon cutting for our new shower program. It was so great, and I am so proud of it. We added two beautiful bathroom/showers to the shelter, along with a blow drying, make up station. We all know how great a hot shower feels. Now imagine one after a night on the streets.

QOTD: No toll roads or bridges in Oregon or SW Washington. There is always talk in the Legislature, though, of implementing them to pay for transportation projects. None have gotten legs yet, though. Just like a sales tax. One occasionally gets put on the ballot, and the voters beat it back. Oregonians hate regressive taxes.

Accountability: I did really well yesterday, and am finally back in my acceptable weight range. Whew!

2 years, 11 months post op:

B: Xtreme Health tortilla, egg beaters, mozzarella

S: Kelly?s egg salad

L: 4 oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup frozen grapes

S: 3 oz prawns

D: spaghetti squash with homemade tomato sauce and turkey meatballs

S: protein hot chocolate

totals: calories 873, carbs 52, protein 113

Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon! I was WFH very diligently today so I'm just posting now at 4:30 pm. I need CAMAW next week - turns out that the timing is perfect!

QOTD: I'm in Massachusetts - lots of tolls (Mass Turnpike and bridges/tunnels). At least they made it easier the last few years by removing the toll booths and using EzPass or billing by license plate. I use to spend about $10 a day (I think - 3+ years ago) for a 70 mile round-trip when I travelled west to east on the Mass pike, but I don't hit any tolls now when I go into the office (south/north route).

1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 20 work days to retirement (11/13).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: 1/2 cheeseburger (no bun)

S: pumpkin yogurt

Good morning menu family!

Accountability: Swapped out my planned meal for Thai Curry last night which took me up about 200 calories. Today I had a lunch and learn meeting at a nice restaurant and the calories were crazy high. This morning I skipped my swim day but I'm going to lift after work and I might swim also just to make up the time!

QOTD:

We have toll roads, but they aren't that expensive. Ours go from state to state, not into city centers so when I took one on my regular commute a few years ago, it was about $1 round trip.
