A little frustrating
also.. take your measurements. I have been stuck between 259 and 260 for almost 1 month now. However, my measurements have changed some. I also believe that exorcise does not assist with loosing weight. I believe it's great for toning, and assisting your body to be healthier and stronger, but I don't believe it's great for weight loss. To me, exorcise is merely a way to help put your body into a calorie deficit, but since we are already there to begin with, it's just a good strengthening and toning process. Also I found the more i exorcised (outside of just walking) the more I would gain sometimes. I was told it was water weight and my body holding onto extra to assist with healing my body.
But above all, take your measurements. Where your weight may not be changing much, your body might be as it re-adjusts itself.

I understand the frustration. I think we had our surgery around the same time. I'm in my 4th month and the loss rate has slowed down. The first thing my NUT told me was not to weigh myself everyday. Once a week is the max she allowed. She actually said once every two weeks. You are doing great. Keep at it and the weight will come off. Hang in there!

Hi Shella!
I do understand the wisdom of that advice during weight loss! Once at goal, I know that weighing daily is a safety measure for me. Doing so doesn't allow me to bury my head in the sand: I must confront any gain with my eyes open. But the losing phase is different.
I expect a slowing of my rate of loss, but if I'm going to lose this slowly with a full 140 pounds still to go to hit my goal, it will likely take an additional 20 months or easily longer in addition to the 4 months I've already logged to reach goal. I definitely threw my body off kilter when I had that 3-day, 2-night episode of physical labor, because ever after I have gained, lost slightly, gained more, lost again, with a very gradual downward drift, instead of moving reliably down as before. Anyway I have literally never gained when in the losing phase of a diet before. Stalled here and there briefly, yes. Lost less than I hoped for a week, definitely yes. But gained? Honestly, never. Yet I've been gaining and eventually losing all month. It has nothing to do with it being my TOM. I really have concluded that I have been dehydrated and am remedying that. If it is to be that it will take me an additional 20 or more months to reach my goal, I will reach it regardless. But I hope to expedite things a bit as I had in my mind more of less reaching goal by this time or by Christmas next year. I'm really not down, life is beautiful and good. And I'll be much happier once down another 110 pounds, because I know how I look at that weight and though it's more than I want to weigh, I can carry it without looking too matronly. The rest is gilding the lily, appearance-wise (which I will definitely gild!).
In the end it'll take as long as it takes. I'm in for the long haul. I'll stop complaining now! Thanks for your kind response.
Words to live by "it takes however long it takes"!! In the past i sabotaged myself by setting a certain goal number by a certain time frame. Then when I didn't reach it I would do a 180 and start eating like there is no tomorrow. The good thing about surgery is that I can't do a 180...steady is my mantra. Even if you do the math with 500 cals a day there is no way you'll gain actual lbs, whatever it is, it's a fase. Maybe keep the exercise also steady (not too much all at once). Don't ru**** and we will see the rainbow at the end of the tunnel!

It just may be a coincidence those two things happened together. Just because you lose less one month doesn't mean it will get progressively lower ech month. You might have a bigger month next month.
At Four months out I had lost 65lbs since surgery.
You will get there.
