What's on your Wednesday menu RNYers?
Good morning everyone. Wednesday already! The week is flying by. Kind of wet and miserable here today but we're still seeing milder temps so I will take it.
QOTD: Are you a city or country person? I was born in Newfoundland but we moved to Toronto when I was 7. Now I live in a smaller city and we dod live in a small town for several years. I love the area we live in but I also love my visits to the city. So much to see and do. I've never lived in the country but as long as I had easy access to shopping and things to do I think I'd like it.
Accountability was great yesterday!
oh, I have an appointment with a vascular surgeon on Oct 19 and I have to wear compression stockings.
Menu:
B: Protein shake
L: Carrot and zucchini noodles with meat sauce.
D: Sausages
s: Pumpkin Spice yogurt- I love this stuff. Thanks again Trish!
Forgot my patches this morning. :(
Just a reminder that's AMAW/CAMAW starts on Monday!
Have a great day today everyone!

Good morning friends...
QOTD: I live in the country but love visiting the city. I do not think I could live there but it is a fun place to visit..
Question for you all! Has anyone tried the Chobani? Lowfat Coffee & Cream Greek Yogurt - 10 fl oz ? I went to grab a couple at the store the other day and the were past the expiration date I was going to try them instead of the premier. I'm not a fan of premier. Just wondering?
Food for the day:
B: Coffee with premier and bacon
L: cheeseburger patty
D: ham and cheese
S: yogurt and almonds
YEAH for CAMAW!
Have a good one....

Hi everyone!
Accountability: Not only was I perfect, but I had to turn down like a zillion terrible yummy things all day, which made my victory of following my menu all the better :)
QOTD: I grew up in the country. Cows and apple orchards as far as the eye can see. I ran to the city at 18 and never looked back (except for a brief stunt in the suburbs, which was still so different from how I grew up. I still love to visit. I love weekends in the country, and apple picking, and walks in the woods, and swims in a lake, but I would never choose to live there full time again.
Yesterday I legit forgot to drink anything except for 2 cups of coffee from 4am - 5:30pm... And after a long and sweaty walk to the train in the evening, I was completely dehydrated. I drank all evening and night and still don't feel like I ever rehydrated completely :(Today I am focusing on water all day and even set my Apple Watch on reminders like a newbie. It's going to be a super busy back to back meeting type of day and without the reminders I can see how this could go badly.
I was in a management meeting yesterday and we were asked to come up with some pie-in-the-sky wellness solution for both our employees and our community. My table came up with a wellness pod that would provide binaural beats and lights to promote deep sleep for an efficient nap, PLUS a "magical" needless re-hydration process that would provide both hydration and vitamins as needed for a 40 minute total refreshment experience. I feel like my pouch is a serious limiter in my hydration routine. I've adapted (too well?) to limits on dense protein and food in general, but I can't seem to stick with the low volume, continuous, sipping that I need to do to meet my hydration needs! If I could crawl into a dark, cool, soothing napping pod, get in a nice nap AND get totally hydrated all in one stop? That would be magical!

Happy Wednesday! Only 2 days before the weekend! I took a short day yesterday and DH and I went to the beach (on October 10!). I suspect it was the last of 2017.
I'm annoyed with myself: I'm at the top of my range due to a couple of high carb days. Time to knuckle down. AMAW/CAMAW week is needed!
QOTD: Hmmm... I guess I'm a suburb person as I've pretty much lived in the suburbs of cities my whole life. Though I'm not sure what you'd consider towns on Cape Cod (suburb or country?). I wish I could have lived in a city for a while when young, but there was never a good time (and I wouldn't want to be there for an extended period). I think I could live in the country for a long time, but I would need books, lakes/ocean, and probably the internet.
1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 21 work days to retirement (11/13).

Yeah, getting there!
I cut the apple up (easier to do in the micro that way). I sprinkle on cinnamon, put in a little SF syrup, then microwave until the apple is soft (about 2 minutes or less). I started out trying to do it in the oven not cut up, but my impatience got to me and I adapted it for the micro.

Good morning :)
Nothing much planned for today. I got a few things done yesterday including raking leaves and picking up walnuts from our backyard. They have made quite a mess this year compared to previous years. Picking them all up should be good for my leg/butt muscles, right? ;)
QOTD: I live in a small-medium (*edit not small-minded lol bad autocorrect) city and where I used to live was right on the edge in a more countryish area. Now it's all built up with houses and we have moved since then. I consider myself in the middle. My MIL owns a farm and she would consider me city ;) I have rain boots that have flowers on them. She said the sheep would laugh at her if she wore those. We probably go to the big city (Toronto) a few times a year. Mostly for shopping or events.
Post-op two years, seven months.
Breakfast - protein bar
Snack - peanuts
Lunch - leftover beef
Snack - bacon jerky
Snack - pepperoni and cheese
Dinner - probably beef... Maybe turkey soup
Snack - protein shake if needed
All water and vits.
