What's on your Tuesday menu RNYers?
Afternoon!
Well I got back from my trip to Chicago last night. What a wonderful time. I seriously have not laughed so much in ages.
Me and my best friend met up with one of our guy friend who I have some feelings for. Unfortunately, he is dating someone (but it's okay, she's really sweet and I like her a lot). But hanging out with him I had a HUGE NSV and a major ego boost. He called me sexy...twice! He's not a bs or pandering kind of guy, and will not ever say something that's not true. So I know he meant it. I have never in all of my life been called sexy. Seriously, this is the first time ever. And by a guy that I'm attracted to! What a boost.
And on top of that, I experienced an 8 pound loss this week! Whaaaaat. So I'm finally out of the 190's and just 3 pounds away from being just overweight!
M:
1. Protein coffee
2. Edamame
3. Deli sliced roast beef w brocc
4. Egg drop soup
4. Some protein with zoodles
5. Okra with nutrional yeast
e: walk and yoga
v: good!
Congrats on your NSV and on your loss! That's great!

Happy Tuesday. Hope everyone who had a long weekend enjoyed it.
Accountability: Except for a 1/4 c pumpkin seeds and 6 cheese crisps from TJs, I was completely on plan. Actually below calories. And what did that get me? a 1 lb gain on the scale. I am now officially higher than my for reals "oh crap" number. As I've been *****ing about for the last . . . oh, I don't know . . . forever it seems, I could accept it if I was eating off plan, but I really haven't. I'm not going to let it freak me out. I have a Dr. appt. on the 24th and I'll address it then (although it's with my new endo, so I don't know how much that will help). If it continues to go up, off to the surgeon's office I go. Let his dietitian earn her money and figure it out.
TQOTD: Nope. I never for a minute feel like I've got this. See my post above. I was at goal, but in the past 3 or so weeks I've gained 7 lbs eating on plan. So, sadly, no. I don't know that I ever will.
My plan:
B: 4.5 oz ground turkey, 1 oz cheddar cheese
L: 4.2 oz new york strip steak
D: Pork Chop
S: SF latte, shrimp (3.2oz) and ****tail sauce (1 tbs)
It's spin night. Tom Petty/Stevie Nicks theme night.
Good afternoon! I've been AWOL while attending a training course last week, and this weekend was so jammed up with activities that I'm almost glad to be back at work. Almost. LOL
Menu:
B: Protein shake
MS and AS: 1/2 cup FF greek yogurt with about 6 small strawberries mixed in
L: Protein shake
S: Turkey soup with a piece of cheese.
ES: Decaf coffee, and.....turkey. :)
I had a great week though. I was originally going to do a protein shake only week to see what happens, because I was in a bit of a stall. I decided that the breakfast shake while driving to the course was my best option, and I would have what I could from the provided lunch (but had a shake in case they served crap). I was pleasantly surprised. Sandwiches/wraps (of which I was able to find a whole wheat - small-ish one JAMMED full of meat and cheese) and salads. That was 2 of the days, and the third was a hot cooked lunch. They lifted the lid, and it was chicken. :) Perfect. So I took a larger one, ate half of it and smuggled the rest out in a coffee cup for my drive home. Managed to stay on track through that traveling etc., as well as all weekend. Friday I moved furniture and then that night I had a gig with my band, after having weighed myself Friday morning. Saturday morning, I got up and weighed again. 3.4 lbs worked off in a big sweat. That was nice. Canadian Thanksgiving meant 2 family meals, and I behaved. The only thing I tried that is a no-no was a new dessert my wife made (pumpkin ice-cream pie). She described it as labour-intensive compared to the other stuff she typically makes for family gatherings, but she likes to experiment once in a while. I'm not one for desserts, never have been, but I wanted to try a bite or two of this new thing, and it was tasty. Those bites were really enough though to satisfy my curiosity, and I wasn't interested in it beyond that. The turkey though? Oh yes. It's now soup in the fridge, and I'm probably more excited than I should be. LOL My father-in-law ate his share of the pie, as well as the rest of mine (taking it for the team, he says). Hahaha
From last Monday to yesterday, I was down 8.6 lbs, which is weird because I wasn't walk/cycle commuting to work, so my exercise dropped off a bit. Very welcome though, and it puts me 11 lbs north of goal at 7 months out. I'll take that.
QOTD - i'm not at goal yet, but I plan to change the goal anyway soon. I'm not sure if I'll ever truly feel I've got this, because I don't want to get too complacent and comfortable. Certainly habits change, but I have to keep this protein-forward stuff in the forefront even more-so when I get to maintenance.
Hi everyone,
I'm still down with the flu. I hope I feel well enough to go back to work tomorrow.
QOTD: I have a long way to go so I certainly can't say that I got this.
I'm sure I won't eat everything on my plan because I still don't have much of an appetite:
B: 2eggs, turkey sausage
L: 3oz turkey breast
S: 2oz turkey breast
D: 2oz kelibasa, 2oz pork chop, 1/3C broccoli rabe
S: ostrim meast stick
Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!
