What's on your Sunday menu RNYers? An
Good morning weekenders! I had a great hike yesterday with a friend. We had a great pace but enjoyed ourselves too. I have to say though that hiking alone with only the sounds of the forest for company has its advantages too.
QOTD: I got an Instant Pot when I had surgery but I haven't used it much. I depend on packaged foods from Trader Joe's alot and that seems to work well for me at least for now. Maybe I will use it more now that the weather is getting cooler. As far as protein powder, I use Syntrax Nectar almost exclusively. I use several different flavors, but I like the drinks better than most RTD flavors that I've gotten.
Accountabilty: I made filet mignon for dinner last night so the calories were a bit higher than with shrimp, but still not bad.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake
Lunch: TJ's chicken sausage
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: shrimp, TJ's hodge podge veggies
Exercise: 45 minutes on the treadmill

Qotd I have an instant pot but it's a miss and hit on some of the things I cooked in it. Loved the ribs and chicken. At the beginning of my surgery life I used my crockpot all the time. I have an indoor electric grill I love.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
S iced sf vanilla coffee
D Rotisserie chicken and broccoli and cheese sauce
Have a good day
Good morning all... Saturday was pretty good low key and Dancing with the Stars was fun. My co-worker did not win but the act that won deserved it did a great Michael Jackson tribute. Actually the acts were wonderful and it was for a great cause. My co-workers partner is 67 years old and that woman rocked a cross between a Broadway Charleston style routine and then a local OBGYN did a tribute to LA LA Land signing in all... Quite a community event. Today is low key and I need to tackle the pile of work I brought home.
QOTD: I rely on my Fitness Pal on my phone for keeping track what goes in my mouth and weight. MY Fit Bit for keeping track of my steps and other exercise things. I wish I could drink the protein shakes but they do not agree with me but I am able to put the premier protein in coffee (Thanks Daisy!!)... Other than those two many things the big thing I rely on is all you on here!
Food for the day:
B: Coffee with Premier and pulled pork (yup little brother is practicing again)
L: Roast beef and cheese roll up
S: yogurt and grapes
D: chicken
Have a great Sunday... If anyone is in Nate's path please be safe!!!

I'm spending the weekend up in Chicago again. Always fun! We are checking out the Lincoln Park Conservatory and the Zoo. It's going to be hard getting anywhere though because it's the Chicago marathon today.
QOTD: I rely pretty heavily on myfitnesspal app that I have on my phone. I also use my kitchen scale all the time. And of course my Big Bubba water bottle. Oh and miralax.

Good morning everyone! My grand plans of cleaning/organizing/purging yesterday seemed to get lost with all the shopping and lounging hahah so today is going to be my make up day between watching football and relaxing.
QOTD - I rely mostly on the BBQ. I don't know how I would be as prepared and eat as well as I do without it. I also have my beloved cast iron skillets, crockpot and my phone that reminds me to do everything - walk, drink, weigh, take vits, track my food...Oh, and my go to store bought SF local beef jerky in a pinch.
accountability - there were a few too many peanuts and SF lifesavers (impulse buy)- they are really good and fruity and tart, but gave me the worst stomach gas pains - so bad... ugh.
10 mo post op
b-coffee w/hc x1,2,3,4.... egg and bacon
l-BBQ chicken
d-hamburger
v/l - on track
e-walk in the neighborhood
Have a great day all!!

Mornin' Weekenders!
Great neighborhood association conference yesterday - they do it every year, but this was my first time going. I'm going to make it an annual thing...
Overdid it at lunch yesterday. We went to a Lebanese place with our neighbor, and I had three falafel balls, plus 1/2 of this very large pita with about 1/3 C hummus. Plus a piece of baklava. It was more overdoing carbs than calories - although calories were higher than normal, too. Made up for the calories by just eating Greek yogurt for dinner, so overall the day was saved - I was just barely over my calorie range. Thank God. But still...
We're heading out for coffee & newspaper reading in a few, then I have a meditation class at 10:30. Then Aqua Zumba at 5:30. Between those, I have some work to do with one of my civic organizations. And then there's another week from hell coming up - teaching five classes, plus several evening activities. Ugh.
QOTD: most used appliances in my house are my blender (for shakes), my grill pan (for meat), and my Instant Pot (I make yogurt at least once a week, and I often make a pot of stew or chili on the weekends to have for lunches that week). I should own stock in Syntrax. I alone probably account for half their profits...
2 years 4 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, 1/4 mango, 1 T pomegranate seeds
S: coffee with half & half, pumpkin vanilla protein/Miralax latte shake
L: chicken/pecan/peach salad
D: maybe chili and an ear of corn
another yogurt or frozen protein pudding pop if I can afford the calories
Morning folks! I've been on my very wet run. Ugh, even my socks were soaked! Rain slowed my pace down- but at least I got it done. I'll say 6 mile runs are my limit- not pushing for any more. I definitely feel it when I'm done. I had breakfast and am working up the energy to shower.
Qotd: my can't live without products: food scale, plantronics wireless Bluetooth headphones, Apple Watch, takeya 40oz water bottle, lunch bag/ice packs, syntrax chocolate truffle protein powder, digital WiFi scale and my fitness pal and MapMyRun.
