Morning weekenders!

any fun plans for the weekend? It's thanksgiving here in Canada, and we're hosting my in laws. We also have a baby shower to go to. Who schedules a baby shower on a Saturday of a long weekend?

Qotd: since its thanksgiving, what are you thankful for these days?

As always, I'm thankful for this surgery, and this forum. I don't know where I'd be without all the support and info here. I'm thankful for my husband. He's up for pretty much any wackadoodle idea that comes into my head. My job, which frustrates me, but doesn't suck.

accountability : solid. I was worried a bit, since I was baking and cooking non wls friendly stuff, but it was fine.

menu:

B: premier and coffee, maybe an egg a little later

L: will be at the shower. I'm hoping for some protein forward options.

D: spaghetti supper, mine on zoodles.

have a good one!

Good morning weekenders! Today is supposed to be another warm sunny day and I am headed out for a long hike after some errands. I am going with a friend today so that should be fun. The location isn't my favorite, but it is still a nice hike with some good ups and downs for exercise.

QOTD: I am first of all thankful for this surgery and the return to health that it has given me. I am thankful for strength and the new abilities of my body to walk, hike, wog and swim. I am thankful for my family even though they make me crazy sometimes. I too am thankful for you folks on OH and my other friends who have been so supportive over the last few months with surgery.

Accountability: I had a spring roll last night for dinner along with my shrimp from takeout. The scale is down though so I am happy.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon

Snack: Premier protein shake

Lunch: Turkey breast, baby carrots

Dinner: shrimp, broccoli

Exercise: hike

Good morning friends.... Happy Thanksgiving to my friends to the north...Totally missed posting yesterday but had so much fun with my nieces and sister in law. The local children's museum was so fun and picking out Halloween costumes was to! Jiy-Taylor my older niece is going to be Elyssa from Frozen she saw that costume and that was it no looking at anything else! My younger niece Jazzlyn is going to be sparkly butterfly.

Today is put the electric blanket on the bed day! I have been so cold at night and piling blankets on the bed so hubby said we should just put it on because it is easier then having 4 or 5 extra blankets on the bed at night. Tonight we are going to a local version of Dancing with Stars. One of my co-workers is dancing and it is for charity so it should be fun. Last year it was a blast.

Completely forgot the QOTD: If I being honest the thing I am most thankful for is my family.. Whom I love more than anything in this world. Then my continued good health due to having WLS surgery and the support of all the friends I have made on this site. You all are the best!!! And finally I would have to say having a job that does not suck... It is busy busy busy and someday's I want to pull my hair out but I really like it and the people I work with.

Food for the day:

B: Coffee w/ premier and yogurt

L: Roast beef and cheese roll ups

D: eating out before the show so who knows but protein forward.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! My day is centered around SIL's birthday. The 3 BSFs (Best Sister Friends - all SIL's) are going to go shopping/exploring today then meet the two brothers (also DH's) for dinner.

QOTD: I am thankful for my children (the ones I have and the one I lost), for my health (in large part due to WLS), and for the ability to retire early and be able to still have some good times with DH. I am thankful for my friends, including the ones I've made on OH. OH has probably been the most important factor in my being able to achieve goal and maintain for almost 11 months now.

1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 23 work days to retirement (11/13).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Out to lunch

D: out to dinner

S: cheese sticks

Missed posting yesterday as at the last minute we went camping at a state historic site about 2 hours from home. We had a funeral to attend at a town 3 miles away and it was easier than getting up before sunrise to get there in time. It was my aunt who had died at the age of 89. She was my fdad's sister but I'm not that close with them because my parents divorced when I was 5. I have contact with my step sisters through facebook and they let me know she had died. Yes my family is very disfunctional! Im not even sure who half the people were as it's been so long since we got together but I had some good memories of Aunt Dorothy and was glad to be able to go. Accountability was good food wise with no extra bites but Lily and I only got about 15 minutes of a walk in due to hard rain. So perky hyper Lily woke me at 5:23 this morning to walk in a light drizzle. We got wet but got our 3.6 miles in early. QOTD I'm thankful for my surgery,my renewed health and energy,my family(hubby, sons and in laws)and for all my OH friends *****ally get me. Thank you all for being a support and a daily encouragement to me. Lily and I will do another mile after dinner tonight. Heres the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L taco meat, lettuce, tomatoes and salsa(1 cup total) D 31/2 oz baked chicken thigh 1/2 c green beans S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make smart choices that move you one step closer to your goals!

Happy Weekend Erin and Menu Family!

Fun plans for the weekend: Usually my weekends are pretty boring, but tomorrow we get to go horseback riding AGAIN! The horseback riding lady gave me one free trail ride because I wrote a nice review for her Facebook page!

QOTD: I'm very thankful for my daughter, Saralisa. I was 37 when she was born and always wanted to have a child. I was afraid I was going to miss out on motherhood so I was very blessed when she came along. I've been blessed, too, because she is a very kind-hearted, intelligent, talented, good daughter who I've never had any problems with. She is my best friend. I'm also thankful for our pets, Tippy (chihuahua) and Blossom (mixed breed) and the two pigeons. They give me so much joy! I am thankful for SO many things, I can't list them all, but things like my extended family, God, butterflies, sunshine, trees, full moons, stars, and of course, my WLS and this site.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 75, Calories - 1,080, Carbs - 113.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana

L: hamburger patty with melted cheese

D: chicken stir fry

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

E: Walking

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

we're off to a city neighborhood association conference this morning, then to lunch with a friend. I hope they have coffee at the conference - I've been thinking about that since last night (!!)

went over a bit on calories again yesterday. Need to get myself back on track TODAY! Too many days over 1700 kcal, and my weight starts to creep up. It's already above my comfort range, but not up to "oh crap" yet. I need to reign this in fast!

QOTD: I'm thankful for DH, who's one of the most patient people in the world. Also, my surgery and all my OH friends, without whom I never would have been this successful. I'm also grateful for my job, which still has a pension program, and the fact DH finally found full-time employment, both of which will allow me to retire early. I'm also thankful for my education, which has opened a lot of doors for me which would have otherwise been closed.

2 years 4 months out

B: homemade Greek yogurt with blueberries & raspberries

S: coffee with half & half (I hope!), maybe a protein bar

L: ?? going out. Something safe

D: chicken/peach/pecan salad, corn on the cob

another yogurt or frozen protein pudding pop if I can afford the calories
