Haven't been around cause I am kinda down

HI Guys,
Just want to say I am struggling. Long stalls and little weight loss in month three. I am not cheating or eating poorly. The only area I am not consistent is exercise. I am staying around 600 calories, 80-90 grams of protein, weighing and measuring my food and so far this month in 25 days, I have lost 4 pounds.
Its really hard to stay motivated when you are losing so little and only three months out. Tomorrow, I am going on a 5 mile hike with a hiking club. Still trying to find an exercise program I like.
Feeling sad.... :(

I am sorry you are feeling down. I know that sucks. I've been there. I hope you find encouragement from three thoughts I had as I read your post.
First, your loss for far is INSANE! 140+ pounds is phenomenal!! Congratulations.
Second, you only have about 25 pounds left to reach goal. Those last pounds are tough ones. Things slow down for everyone as they reach for the event horizon that is 'goal.'
Third, 4 pounds in 25 days...an average of a pound a week. My whole life I would have been beside myself thrilled THRILLED to lose a pound a week. I know it feels slow compared to the rate you have had but it is really great.
I think you are doing great!

Hi and thanks for the support. I am a revision, so most of the weight loss you see if from my other surgeries. Yes plural. First a lapband, then the sleeve and then due to GERD I had the RNY.
I lost and have maintained about 125 pounds of losses over 15 years. I started this time at 224. My highest weight in 2003 is 340.

Please don't get down on yourself. I'm also a revision from VSG to RNY because of GERD. My loss was incredibly slow. Elizabeth is right, the less you have the lose, the longer it takes. I gained about 12 lbs from my all time low prior to my revision because the only thing I could eat that didn't make me sick was Ritz crackers. Prior to my surgery, my surgeon told me the weight would come off but it may take a year. The less you weigh, the fewer calories it takes to maintain, etc. I had my revision on 7/1/16. Since then, I've lost a total of 20 lbs. He was right, it came off, but it was sloooooowwwwwww. 20 lbs in a year and 3 months. Keep doing what you're doing. Make sure to push the protein and the water. I know now, if I back off on the water, I stall or gain. Do NOT blame yourself or get down. Keep coming here for support. You WILL get to goal.
I was just thinking to myself the exact thing you just talked about. I'm staying between 550-600 calories, 60 grams of protein (yes I know i need more just having hard time) I measure my food.. Still can only take 4 bites of food before I have to stop eating for a couple hours before I can eat again. I'm onto normal food now, but I find that eating just holds no joy for me. And by joy I mean I look at it and just don't want to eat at all. I'm only 2 months out (well two months on the 7th of this month) But I've been stuck at 260 for almost 3 weeks now :( It just makes me feel sad to only see I've lost just about 4 lbs in 3 weeks.
So I understand where your coming from, and the feelings of frustration that come from this. Here is to hoping our journey continues and this stall ends. I want to be 250-240 by christmas but at this rate it's just frustrating.
You and I could have written the same post. I have been the same weight for a few weeks. It goes up by .2 and down by .2 and back. But I am almost 50 pounds heavier than you are, so that makes it even more disappointing. I was hoping to be where you are by the end of 2017. My surgery was July 27. I am not eating bad things either and sticking to protein first. The good thing is that I am not hungry and can't go off the wagon. I don't know if this relates to set point or not. Maybe we were at these current weights for a long time and our bodies remember this and stall there for a while.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time. I am struggling with slow loss now, so I can relate. It sounds like you are doing the right things, so that is good, but I understand how hard it can be to not have the reinforcement on the scale.
Keep with the exercise because even if it isn't moving the scale, it does so much to improve your health, physically and mentally. I really believe that exercise makes a huge difference in your health even if it slows the numbers on the scale.
Hang in there and know that we here in OH-Land are cheering for you!
