What's on your Wednesday menu RNYers?
Good morning everyone- I'm happy to be working from home today so just getting up which is lovely.
QOTD- My whole life, special occasions, rewards, have always been about food. Going out for dinner, buying or making special treats, cooking a favourite meal. I'm working on that and I'm trying hard to think of food as fuel. What kind of rewards do you give yourself that are not food related? My favourite thing is a mani and pedi but I need to expand the list and also have some simpler things that I can do at home. I'm perfectly incapable of applying nail polish so I always go to a professional for that.
Accountability was great yesterday
Heres the menu for today:
B: Protein shake- debating between strawberry or cafe latte.
L: leftover chicken or Kelly's egg salad
D: hubby bought stuffed chicken breasts. I have to check the stats to see if it will work for me, otherwise I will have leftover chicken for supper and the egg salad for lunch.
S: yogurt or sugar free pudding
E: Day 3 of Shaun T: T25
V: patches are on and will be taking extra calcium and vitamin d as well as b12.
Weight is 177.5 today. I'm going in the right direction.
Have a great day everyone
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Good morning menu folks! I didn't feel well part of yesterday so my menu was off, but I ate less so that is a good thing.
QOTD: I still struggle with giving myself non-food related treats. I sometimes get painting supplies, but I need to find easy treats that don't relate to eating and don't cost alot. Hopefully I will get some good ideas from folks today.
Menu:
Breakfast: scrambled egg, turkey sausage
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake
Lunch: TJ's Herb Mustard salmon, butternut squash
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: pork chops, cauliflower
Exercise: 45 minutes on the treadmill

Good morning friends... It is supposed to be a beauty of one today! Work work work for me today....
QOTD... For me lately special treats have been buying tickets to sporting events or concerts. Last night hubs and I talked about tickets to a Celtics game just checking our work schedules to see if it all works out...
Food for the day:
B: Bacon and coffee with premier
L: ham and cheese
S: yogurt
D: salad from Panera
Have a great one everyone!
qotd: I don't do food rewards anymore. I did have a reward in the form of milestones when losing. every 25 pounds I did something, nose piercing, massage, piece of jewelry, or an experience like horse back riding, etc.
last night we ate out take out- DH got a butter burger with cheese curds and I got the healthy kung pao chicken from panda express (too much salt though) and put it on shredded plain coleslaw. it was yummy.
went by GNC and got some quest chips and some probiotic cubes on markdown. keeping up on my supplements :)
Food for today:
decaf coffee/ cashew milk/prot powder together (i think today is PB flavor)
rest of turkey sloppy joe
rest of cauliflower
HB egg whites
jello
prot cake
Qotd: I struggle with non-food rewards too, and special-occasion treats. Mani-pedis seem to be my go-to, and also having my hair done, even if it's just a trim. DH and I go to concerts and movies fairly regularly, but lately I've been saying "if I eat on plan all week we can go see X show/movie." Which has been hard because I know I'll go see that thing anyway, especially to a concert we buy tickets to in advance :P
accountability: yesterday sucked. I ate that bagel Monday night, then yesterday I absentmindedly had a donut our boss brought in and passed around. Then last night I got into a bag of tortilla chips DH brought home from a party and ate way too many with salsa. Ironically, as if to encourage such behavior, I'm down another three pounds today. THREE POUNDS! How does it even make sense??
breakfast: scrambled eggs and sautéed kale
lunch: spinach salad with balsamic dressing, 3 oz leftover turkey breast
snack: Greek L&F
dinner: probably the same as lunch

Good Morning Teena and Menu Family!
Today my daughter and I are going horseback riding! It's a special treat I bought us for Saralisa's birthday. (Her birthday was actually last January but we're just now getting around to using the coupons). I'm SO excited. I love horses.
QOTD: Wow, that is a hard question. I don't reward myself very often for anything. On my birthday this year my daughter took me out for prime rib which was uber delicious and of course, protein forward. But I also bought a cheesecake and ate one small slice a day until it was gone. (I counted the calories in myfitnesspal and ate less to accommodate for it). Little rewards include going for a walk with my dogs, drinking another cup of coffee, enjoying working with my house plants.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 65, Calories 1,030, Carbs - 123.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit greek yogurt
L: alfredo chicken
D: stuffed peppers
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit greek yogurt
E: Walking my dog around the subdivision
Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!
~ Karen
Enjoy your horseback riding!
