RNY Sunday Menu for 1+ Years post surgery (I'm curious how it differs)...
You are suppose to eat soup if you try to gain weight. Adding more protein shakes, based on full fat milk - if you tolerate milk.
I make my own soups - cook in pressure cooker, and add 1/2 to 1 tbs of butter to a stew like consistency. Eat slowly.
Soups and drinking with meals are great WHEN you are trying to gain some weight - and eat more. Adding some digestive enzymes and probiotics to digest and absorb the food better.
Just don't make it a habit - and know that this is for the time you need to gain weight.
The rules for WLS person (dense proteins, no sliders, no soups, no drinking with meals, etc.) apply when you trying to lose or maintain weight loss.

I guess if there's such a thing as a tuna melt then why not a crab melt.
You are probably burning 2,000- 2,200 calories a day. You likely burn up to 1,500 just being alive.
I like the Costco soup too. Having to gain weight is not a bad problem to have. I'm sure many in here would love to be in your shoes. Personally I have issues when I eat "unhealthy". Simple carbs can make me feel terrible and throw my GI tract into a mess.
