What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
Good morning menu friends -
Scale still did not move today - but I'm not real surprised. When I work my three day weekends it usually doesn't move. When I only get 6 to 6 1/2 hours of sleep a day it tends not to move. I am hoping when I get to sleep in late on Monday morning that my scale will show some kind of loss.
Accountability : I added a mini snickers to my menu yesterday. I was mad at myself after I ate it. I did add it to myfitnesspal, so it added 45 calories and 5 carbs to my day :(
QOTD: I just bought 2 light compression Cami tops to wear under a couple of my more see through knit shirts at Wal-Mart. I find them comfortable to wear, but they don't stay pulled down very well. I was constantly tugging them back down.
Todays menu:
B - 1/2 scoop protein powder in iced coffee w/ SF creamer
B - egg salad
L - tuna pouch, spinach salad
S - 3.1 oz. shrimp w/ ****tail sauce
D - Smoked Salmon, 5 button mushrooms with laughing cow cheese wedge
S2 - 3.5 oz. Shrimp w / ****tail sauce
S3 - 1/4 Scoop protein powder in iced coffee w/ SF creamer

Happy Sunday~This morning we are taking the dogs to the park then heading out to watch Football. The afternoon will be chores, laundry and getting ready for the week.
For Canadian Thanksgiving, is there a speacial menu? Like the US - we have Turkey... just curious.
QOTD - I don't wear compression undergarments, but I do wear compression leggings/capris for working out. I like Old Navy high waist ones, they fit me perfectly.
accountability sucked yesterday - popcorn and crackers, where is my machine mentality? I'm too emotional lately.

I'm Canadian and Thanksgiving at our house is insane, food wise. We have a turkey with stuffing, yams, mashed potatoes, gravy, turnips, cranberries, hot rolls with butter, plus a glazed ham, Caesar salad, green beans, plus perogies drenched in butter, with onions, and bacon. For dessert my mom makes pies, lots of pies: pumpkin pie, apple pie and icecream, and cream pies (vanilla cream, banana cream, and coconut cream). Plus she puts out a big bowl of fruit salad with whipped cream. It's going to be a real challenge for me because I love all of the above, especially the stuffing, hot rolls, and cream pie.
Edited to add: I forgot the lemon pie, lol. There's always a lemon pie too.
I plan on having a bit of turkey and ham, some green beans, and fruit for dessert. It's going to KILL me to say no to those cream pies but I will do it.
BTW Christmas here is even worse...she bakes cookies and bars every day for a month before Christmas. My Mom is Italian and she loves to feed people, a LOT, lol.

Mornin' Sunday crew!
currently sitting at my yoga/meditation studio drinking coffee (they have a cafe) waiting for my meditation class to start (I have a hard time meditating at home - I almost always fall asleep, and that's not the point!! For some reason, I don't fall asleep when I'm with a group). Making chili sometime today, doing some work for an organization I'm in, and going to Aqua Zumba this evening! It's been forever!!
Accountability the last few days has been great. I just wish this water weight would come off faster. It's down, but not by much. I tried to ease off on the Mylanta, but the ulcer symptoms came back. Evidently it's not healed yet. Boo. So another month of being waterlogged before I try again...
QOTD: I don't wear compression garments. I have small batwings, but I just wear my sleeves elbow-length or longer and they're not noticeable. My thighs are crepe-y but very thin, so they only look odd when I'm wearing a swimsuit (at my age, I don't wear short shorts or skirts). Saggy boobs are easy to roll up into a good bra. So the only bad part is my stomach. It's not horrible and it's easy to hide in jeans or "tummy-control" leggings, so no one knows it's there, but I know it's there and I hate it!!!
2 years 3 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, raspberries, 1/4 mango
S: coffee with half & half, pumpkin latte protein/Miralax shake
L: maybe chicken salad
D: grilled salmon fillet, ear of corn or coleslaw made with sesame-miso vinaigrette
another yogurt (pumpkin!) later if I can afford the calories....
Happy Sunday, everyone.
QOTD: I don't wear compression garments as such, but I got so sick of constantly needing to buy new capris style leggings this summer that I started buying them so that they fit tightly enough to work as compression garments, so they would last longer between sizes, lol.
My only plan for the day is to try to get to Sears because it's the last day it will be open. I was there the first day they opened in the 70's and am sad to see it go. After that I'll either go for a bike ride or walk.
Yesterday I rode my bike, the day before I went hiking with a friend for 2 hours, and the day before I did a short hour long hike by myself, so I'm finally getting moving again after being sick for a month. It feels good to be active again, and I have more energy already.
Accountability: I was super hungry, so ate an unplanned pepperette last night which put my calories up higher than I'd like.
Menu at 8 months out (it's my 8th month surgiversary today):
Breakfast: 2 decaf with 1/4 cup vanilla premier protein shake in each as whitener, plus pumpkin pie spice for flavor, lol. After the decaf, 1 left over burger patty with cheese.
Lunch: Tuna salad in lettuce wraps.
Supper: Steak on the BBQ; yum.
Snacks: Greek yogurt, strawberries, and bran buds.
Totals: 681 cals, 34 carbs, 86 protein

Good afternoon menu crew. A regular Sunday here, church this morning and a gospel meeting later this afternoon.
QOTD- I wear shape wear all the time. I just buy the cheap ones from Walmart and they're a bit loose so they smooth but don't compress. I also like the active wear from Old Navy. I do have bat wings but they're not too bad so I don't worry so much about my arms. And since most of my workouts are done at home I wear tanks. I am a sucker for the ones with words or quotes on them. Just bought 2 from Walmart - one says Fierce, and the other says Beautiful. I usually wear a cami or tank under my shirts and tops to keep everything smooth as well. I look for the fitted ones from Old Navy and Ardene, but love the ones with Lycra in them- I bought a couple at Cato in South Carolina when we were there in the spring.
Accountability was good yesterday.
Menu: Breakfsst was oatmeal- a bit higher in carbs than usual but I felt that I needed fibre.
L: Ham and cauliflower with cheese
D is up in the air right now. I ate my lunch a little fast and was feeling uncomfortable. Not sure if I will feel like eating.
Your day sounds busy Erin! I'm also hosting Thanksgiving but it's going to be a small and simple get together.
Have a great day everyone.
