Good morning weekenders! We are heading out for a local arts festival. It is one of my favorites for the year and I look forward to going. Food is up in the air, but definitely someone protein forward, no funnel cakes for me. Lots of walking.

Yesterday I took a nice 7 mile hike at a local park which I enjoyed very much. Next weekend is calling for rain, so I'm not sure whether I will get in another hike then.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham

Lunch: ? something protein forward

Snack: Cappuccino protein shake

Dinner: pork chops, TJ's Hodge Podge veggies

Exercise: lots of walking

What brand of Cappuccino protein shake do you use? I was thinking that may be good added to my iced coffee instead of my Quest Caramel Protein powder.

Good morning :)

Nothing specific planned for today. Might drag DH to get his hair cut. I don't know why he hates getting that done. I also want to tidy up our yard a bit. We are also hosting a few people for Thanksgiving next weekend so that reminds me that I need to clean up a bit this week.

QOTD: I don't wear anything on a regular basis but with starting work I have been wearing skirts a lot. I like wearing shorts under them but I don't have a great pair right now so I have been wearing some Spanx. I hate them because they are so hard to get in and out of. I just ordered some jersey shorts online so I hope those are better :)

Post-op two years, six months.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - egg, cheese

Lunch - probably something from the food court

Snack - turkey sausage

Dinner - steak or pork leftovers

Snack - protein shake

All water and vits.

Curious why you like shorts under your skirts?

Sometimes I find it more comfortable, especially when it is too hot for tights/pantyhose under them. When it gets super humid here I find when I walk more than normal I may get a bit of chafing - way less than pre-op though :). I have a 15 minute walk from my car to my office. Also, depending what I'm doing or where I'm going I might have them for just-in-case modesty.

Morning pouch pals! My run is done- despite being a bit creepy. A car had pulled up along me and I ignored it. A little further up the same car blocked my path, and the driver, a man, said something to me and handed me a paper. It was his phone #. Seriously?? Gonna look into buying mace or something of the sort today.

Today the boys have a birthday party. I will likely go jeans shopping- where I'm sure there will be tears since I hate wearing/shopping for jeans. )A necessary evil IMO.) I'm sure I'll come home with leggings too.

Qotd: I don't wear compression wear. To many bad memories of feeling like sausage stuffed in casing growing up. I do own one camisole type compression tank. Only time I even consider compression wear is if I'm going to a wedding or super fancy event. And then it depends on the outfit style if I will wear it. Exercise hasn't been an issue with my arms, legs or stomach- guess I'm lucky. I did chafe a little today on my abdomen, but that's unusual- I don't think my flip belt was positioned well.
