Morning weekenders!

any exciting plans? I'm hoping for a lazy morning catching up on OH after a crazy week at work. Then I might nip out to get some fall clothes. I realized I don't actually have any fall office wear.

qotd: do you love autumn? Are you a pumpkin spice everything fiend? This is hands down my favourite time of year!

i love the smells, the clothing, the food! I'm ready for stews, and roasts, chai teas (I never got the pumpkin spice latte thing)

Walks in the forest to check out the foliage ( dressed in orange, as it's also hunting season!)

Time to slowdown, light the fireplace and put on some cozy socks!

accountability: weeelll there was popcorn last night at the movies...

menu:

B: fried egg with cheese

L: pork carnita meat

D:tbd.

Have a good one!

Good morning! As usual, Saturday is very welcome after a long week. DH and I will probably do errands today (going to rain) but tomorrow we are going to central Massachusetts (used to be "home") for a cookout with DH's Relay for Life team, then dinner with DD.

QOTD: I love summer most, but I guess fall is second. I actually liked it more in central Mass. Here on Cape Cod we don't get a lot of leaf color and they drop late in November. I do love pumpkin spice coffee (and just got some sugar-free coffee-mate in that flavor which I am enjoying right now). Apples from the orchards are great too - in fact we need to get some tomorrow while in the apple orchard area of the state!

1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 29 work days to retirement (11/13).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Out to dinner, I think

S: Breyers Delights ice cream

Yeah, I've been looking for a couple of weeks. I found it at Shaw's market in a special case (not with the regular flavors). I think someone said they got it at Walmart, but I didn't look there.

HD's pumpkin pancakes

1/2 - 3/4 c. Canned pumpkin

4 eggs

1t vanilla extract

1t pumpkin pie spice

1t cinnamon

1/4t baking soda

2T of butter

Optional..a little st maple syrup in batter. I prefer all the ingredients above...HD likes to add 1 - 2 T of almond meal to make it a little denser.
