What's on your Friday menu RNYers?
I'm still getting 'accused' of losing more weight. I've been steady for months now, yet people have to tell me how I'm going to blow away with the wind... whatever. I'm wearing a size 6. I'm 5'5" tall... that's NOT THAT THIN!
I honestly was almost offended the other days when I saw someone that literally exclaimed "OMG, YOU'RE SO SKINNY!!!"... had they said 'OMG YOU'RE SO FAT" when I was fat it would have been a very rude thing to say... why can't they see that the opposite is STILL rude?!

I really Think when most people say that, it's meant as a compliment. I've seen a couple of people who were truly skin and bones as a result of factors other than WLS (one person had tuberculosis. Though he never admitted it, I believe the other's extreme emaciation was due to drug use. His weight has since normalized.). It is upsetting and shocking to see people like that, especially if you knew them when their weight was more normal. One's instinct then is to be very kind and careful with your comments.
Agreed! I'm 5'3" and 129 wearing a size 6 petite and an occasional size 4. I'm not wasting away. It just messes with my brain. In many ways I feel as though I'm walking around in a dream and that I'll wake up and feel even worse about my 250lb self. Our brains can really mess us up.

HAPPY FRIDAY! I'm done working for the week. The days are getting harder as the approaching last day and reorganization are looming and panic is ensuing (amongst both those staying and those looking for another job).
my picture is from the beach last Sunday (perfect day)!
QOTD: My family was relatively small: 2 brothers. My Dad and Mother each only had one brother and they were far away so we were a compact unit. I guess I'm rather partial to the ocean (but really any body of water). Maybe because I am a Pisces?
