What's on your Thursday menu RNYers?
Almost the end of the week. I have a short day today and only a couple of hours tomorrow (yeah!)
QOTD: LOL on the QOTD! The VSG one was what is your favorite "go-to" meal. My most healthy snacks would be string cheese or cottage cheese (which I'm extremely fond of). Other snacks (less protein forward) are almonds and hummus/nut thins. I'll be interested to hear what others enjoy.

Hi Teena, sleeping in is glorious and I love it when I have a day off. Good for you! Although sleeping in means to 7am instead of getting up at 4:45am!
Accountability: 100% on plan
QOTD: fav snack, here are what I eat often: Skyr yogurt, cheese strings, cottage cheese, grilled kielbasa, nuts (peanuts or cashews) nuts are super high in calories but great for fighting constipation, I don't use them often due to the calorie count but I do enjoy them, 2-3 slices of bacon (I use the Costco precooked bacon, its so delicious and 2 slices in the microwave for 30 seconds and its done and crispy, love it), jerky, and protein cake bites when I really have a sweet craving that I can't fight (find them at GNC).

I have found that almonds almost act as a natural laxative if I eat more than I should. I thought I was the only one who found that they have an effect on my intestinal workings.

done teaching classes for the week (12 more to go - and they're all within the next 2-3 weeks), but then things should (hopefully) slow down a lot. Evenings have been busy this week, too - something every night. Hopefully I can get out of work a little early tomorrow so I can make a 5:15 yoga class. I haven't been all week and I really need to go...
QOTD: in the morning I always have a protein shake as my snack. I don't always snack in the afternoon, but when I do, it's usually half a protein bar or one of those more snack-intended protein bars like a Quest cereal bar (110 calories) - or a Light & Fit yogurt. Evenings - yogurt (lately with some bran cereal in it to fill me up), SF pudding pop (I make SF pudding with unsweetened cashew milk and put protein powder in it, then freeze), or during peach season I was often grilling a peach, sprinkling it with cinnamon, and putting a dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt on top
Accountability good yesterday. I didn't feel like eating steak last night so I ate a cup of homemade pumpkin yogurt with TJ's High Fiber Cereal in it. Also had a grilled peach with vanilla yogurt when I got home from my L-O-N-G meeting. Calories for the day were fine.
2 years 3 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, fresh blueberries
S: coffee with half & half, vanilla mango protein/Miralax shake
L: meeting a friend at a Thai place. They have curried chicken dish served over lettuce (instead of rice), so I'll get that
D: steak and either an ear of corn or coleslaw made with sesame-miso vinaigrette
probably another yogurt if I can afford the calories
Quick post as Im heading out tothe food pantry in a minute. Lily and I have our 3.6 miles in and will do another mile after supper. Post op 5 years 1 month and weight at 118.8 today. Heres today's plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli chicken and cheese 1/2 c steamed carrots D 31/2 oz ground beef with salsa 1/2 c steamed broccoli S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter.
