What's on your Thursday menu RNYers?
Good morning everyone- sorry I'm late today. I'm working from home and slept in.
QOTD: What?s your favourite go to snack? I need to get some good bariatric friendly snacks in my house and I'm looking for inspiration. Right now my go to would be yogurt but I need something that's more dense.
My menu today:
B: Protein shake
L: Chicken breast
D: TBD
s: Not sure.
Accountability yesterday was terrible. The stops for food were not good choices and I was hungry. Not a good combination. I had a sandwich and felt terrible afterwards.
Have a great day everyone!
Edited to say that I'm down a pound ti 181.9 so that mysterious weight gain from last week is still not gone but I'm inching back towards the 170s.
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Good morning Teena and menu folks! Glad that you got to sleep in a bit after your trip. I'm sorry that the food was difficult though. Getting away from my routine makes good food choices hard.
I had my 7 month appointment with my surgeon yesterday. I was only down 6 more pounds this month and I'm disappointed. But I am close to my goal and things are slowing down.
QOTD: I eat alot of deli turkey and ham as snacks. Also string cheese and cheese sticks
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Lemonade protein shake
Lunch: TJ's lemon grilled chicken, baby carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: leftover Kung Pao chicken

1.5 lb a week so close to the goal is great. Nothing to complain about. I was happy to lose 0.5 lb a week.

Good morning :)
Having yesterday off was so refreshing but now I don't know how much I will have to catch up on in the office. DH and I have agreed to not schedule things for our weekends for awhile so we can catch up on our house list. We had a huge branch come down in our backyard this week. Thankfully nothing was damaged as it was right over our fence.
Post-op two years, six months.
Breakfast - Greek yogurt
Snack - dried peas, egg
Lunch - bunless burger
Snack - turkey pepperoni, cheese
Dinner - maybe meaty sauce if we still have leftovers
Snack - protein shake if needed
All water and vits.
Good morning, all!
qotd: I snack on celery and PB, yogurt, and string cheese. Not sure if I'll be able to handle the celery after RNY, at least for a while? And I know yogurt is a slider, but it's fine for me for just a snack for now.
Accountability: ended up eating a pork chop on a stick for dinner last night yay faire food! But I did end up eating a s'more, which I'd planned on sharing with DH but he didn't have more than a taste so I ate it. I also had a small order of fresh cut French fries and 2 mini chocolate chip cookies, a staple food for this place. They sell a BUCKET of fresh, warm, mini chocolate chip cookies and another guest brought them to the campfire site we were congregated at. Weight is DOWN 2 lbs. what??
Breakfast: slice of ham and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese
lunch: spinach salad with 3 oz diced chicken breast
snack: Greek L&F
dinner: on my own and didn't pull anything out of the freezer so not sure. Maybe deli turkey and cheese and some baby carrots

lol I think that's why I ordered it, mostly for the giggle factor. It wasn't deep fried or anything else you'd expect from faire food...just a very straightforward and nicely seasoned pork chop. On a stick. Why not?? Lol
