What's on your Wednesday menu RNYers?
Hey Protein Pals! Have have missed getting on here. Was away for four days visiting Erin T., and got to meet Erin/Insert Fitness as well.
My NSV for the trip was we took a hike and Erin's husband informed me there was an 1100ft change in elevation during the course of it. Totally cool. Who would have thought I could do that.
QOTD: I got rid of cable earlier this year. Do not much I follow.
B:usual latte, protein pancakes.
L: kale salad, chicken w/tandoori seasoning
D: Turkey meatloaf with mashed cauliflower
S: yogurt, apple, protein drink

This was a bagged salad and chopped very small. A small amount worked but I threw out the rest.

another early-ish meeting today so this is just a drive-by for now.
Great accountability yesterday - I had slightly over 1500 kcal, which is great for me. I'm dealing with some slight regain and I suspect it's the Mylanta I've been taking for my suspected ulcer (I'm very salt sensitive and this stuff is loaded with sodium - I feel waterlogged all the time), plus I've increased my fiber the last 2-3 weeks to keep from getting hungry, so it may be due to more intestinal contents as well. But JUST IN CASE, I'm going to keep my calories between 1500-1700, and then lower if nothing happens. I've been doing 1700 for a long time, inching closer to 1800 two or three times a week, and that's never affected me - but I'm cutting that out just in case that's contributing to the regain as well. It's a slight regain - less than five pounds - but better to make a few changes now and nip this in the bud before it gets out of control. I had a biometric screening yesterday at work (you get a financial incentive for doing so), and my numbers were great - e.g., total cholesterol was 137, glucose was 63 - I don't want to blow that!!
QOTD: I never watch TV and haven't in a really long time, although I did watch Breaking Bad on NetFlix a couple of years ago and loved it!
2 years 3 months out
B: homemade Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries
S: coffee with half & half, SF mango vanilla protein/Miralax shake
L: 1 C cottage cheese
D: I'm not sure. We have steak in the fridge, but I have a neighborhood association meeting tonight (I'm on the board), so I may not have time. Maybe turkey meatballs with some coleslaw made with sesame-miso vinaigrette ??
another yogurt (I esp love homemade pumpkin yogurt with some TJ's High Fiber Cereal on it!) later this evening if I can afford the calories...
Hi Teena! Hope you continue to enjoy your pampering while you're there!
QOTD: I love This Is Us... I haven'****ched the season premier yet, but I have it on the DVR... I also still like Grey's Anatomy, CSI New Orleans, Big Bang Theory, Survivor (yes, still!) and Enjoyed the Premier of Young Sheldon (even though that was a total tease since it won't be back on until November! Grrrr). I always think I'm going to watch so many of the new shows, but I never get around to it.
Accountability: Last night I made up a big batch of Emiepie's egg salad and had some for dinner. I lost my mind when my daughter toasted up two pieces of super cheap white bread leftover from a gathering at our house that someone else brought... it smelled so good that I toasted up two pieces of my own and made a sandwich.... and at the entire thing! The worst part was it didn't even make me feel bad. SMH. Maintence is hard folks...
Weight this morning 136.2 Maintenance diet, 16 months out.
B: 1 egg and 3 pieces of bacon and salsa
L: 3.5 ounces of either egg salad or meaty baked ricotta (I brought both, thinking I'd eat one for breakfast, but it's rainy and cold out, and comforting myself with food is still a real thing. At least I comforted with yummy stuff)
S: I have cheese sticks and salami in there if I need them
D:I'm making up chicken breasts and mushrooms in a gravy and will make broccoli to go with it
