Vomit had stopped only happen the two times and discovered the fish and mashed potatoes were to dry and got stuck. I went back to liquids until today, tried eggs today only after half a scrambled egg.

Oh and on the husband thing. You're only 15 days out so I'm not sure how much you've lost but many times guys don't notice stuff like that until there is a huge difference. Also - he may be worried that if he comments on you looking thinner it would imply that he thought you were too big earlier. Partners end up having to walk a pretty fine line at times.
I've lost 17 pounds since surgery day, I have noticed changes and asked if he could see it and he snapped saying he doesn't stare at the back of my arms or legs and told me I'm beautiful and that I was beautiful before. Maybe he is nervous of my reaction.

I think it's hard on the people in our life to know if it's ok to remark on our weight and or looks. He needs to take his cues from you. Don't be afraid to ask for what you need. I had to set it out very clearly with my family - that I did not want to be questioned about what or how much I eat (no food police) and that it was OK to talk opening about my surgery, my weight, how I look now and before surgery, etc. That compliments post-op didn't automatically mean I was ugly or undesirable pre-op. I am sure the whole question of "Do I look skinnier?" is in the same ball park as "Does this skirt make me look fat?" It's a no win question IMO.
As for food, you do just need to suck it up. You are so early out. Go slow. Introduce things one at a time. Don't be surprised that something that works one day (or doesn't) might work another day down the line. Eggs can be tricky even years out for example.
Stick to protein as much as you can. You need it to heal and to give you energy. For me, Ricotta cheese was an amazing food. I mixed it with all kinds of things either savoury or sweet. I used marinara sauce, curry sauces, taco seasoning, onion soup mix, ranch dressing mix, etc. for savoury flavours. I used various protein powders for sweet. I used plain full fat greek yogurt in the same way.
There is a huge learning curve to this whole thing. It can be a rough ride or a smooth one at different times. Hang in there - stick around, ask questions, filter the answers to find out what works best for you and your situation ;)
I couldn't imagine not having protein shakes in those first few months. Consuming 60 grams+ of protein is very important.
The creamy soup thing is silly in my opinion. I had them in my approved menu but I ate a lot of different soups as long as they were puréed. Black bean soup was my fave and it's got protein
Potatoes are another bad choice.
I ate ricotta cheese with marinara and mashed mashed up meatballs. Chickpea hummus/ black bean hummus/ tzatziki sauce
