Yeah me not so much either, but I like the tuna creations flavored tuna packets. I might try tuna with balsamic! I like balsamic on my salads

Any special kind of balsamic that you use on your tuna? Do you use it in place of any other condiment.

Have fun on your road trip, Teena!

I was up too early this morning... our Boxer girl, Uma was diagnosed with cancer last week when we thought she only had a urinary tract infection. Big blow to us since we just lost her sister a few months ago. Anyway, last night/ early this morning she was up pacing with an upset tummy and I'm the one that heard her... it's going to be a long day for me...

QOTD: Starting today, Summer is officially gone here in OK... We have a cold front moving in, bringing with it a few days of rain and gloom... highs only in the 60's... I'm super bummed because I love Summer and sunshine! Please ask your daughter to send me a card about a sunny day! I could use it.

Accountability: Yesterday was a good day for eating! Had 1/2 of a protein bar last night with whipped cream on it (me and my whipped cream... sigh), but not fretting that too much.

Weight this morning: 137.2

B: 3.5 ounces of teriyaki chicken thighs and 1.5 ounces of broccoli (I couldn't' fini**** all)

S: cheese stick if I need it

L: 3.5 ounces of meaty ricotta bake

S: salami if I need it

D: Up in the air. Hubs was diagnosed with a dairy allergy a couple of months ago, and I'm still in mourning over this... today would have been a day I would have suggested pizza for dinner, but it's too soon to subject him to that. Whine!

So sorry to hear about Uma. Did your vet give any options for treatment? That's always so rough to find out. Sending you and your family love

There are several tumors, unfortunately. My husband's first Boxer got cancer at a younger age and him and his partner at the time put her through Chemo and treatment for a long time. He promised himself he wouldn't do that to a dog again.

We are trying out a Keto Diet that This Pet Sanctuary uses on dogs they rescue that have cancer. I don't know that it will cure her (I don't see that happening), but if we can keep her comfortable and perhaps keep her around a little longer, it'll be easier on all of us. I went ahead and started my Yorkie on this raw diet too. She's pretty happy about the situation! LOL Even though we've had them on a grain free high quality diet for as long as we've had them, just reading about what goes into 'pet quality' food makes me ill -- unfortunately a friend sent me a video about what Tyson does with the sick birds... Ick. Some things I'm not sure I ever wanted to know...

Yeah, it's rough when you throw chemo into the mix. It's nice that you're going to change her diet up for her. We make raw food for our pets and they love it. You're right, it's waaay better than the "pet food" you get in the stores. I'm sure the diet change will help her feel better :)

Thanks, Teena

It's heartbreaking... especially after just losing her sister to cancer as well...
