What's on your Tuesday Menu RNyers?
Good morning :)
I had a good conversation with my supervisor yesterday. Sounds like they want to give me an extension on my contract. I've only been here for two weeks. I'm taking that as a good sign :)
I'm off tomorrow for a doctor's appt. That will be a nice break in my week. I'm planning to sleep in lol.
QOTD: our weather is the same as Teena's as we are both in Southern Ontario. Very hot -- running the AC all day. I have to walk to an all afternoon meeting so hopefully it won't be too warm yet. Friday is supposed to get back to normal so then I can dig out some of my fall clothing. It's sitting in my hallway waiting for the switch.
Post-op two years, six months
Breakfast - Greek yogurt
Snack - bunless burger
Lunch - chicken and something at meeting
Snack - protein bar
Snack - bacon jerky, cheese stick
Dinner - meat sauce
Snack - protein shake if needed
All water and vits.
Good Morning Teena and Menu Family!
QOTD: It's been cold, overcast and rainy the past two days and today is supposed to be cool as well, with the high only getting up to 62. I guess Fall is here. I dread Winter and really don't like the dark, cloudy, cold days. I didn't get to take the dogs for a walk yesterday or the day before because of the rain and I really miss our walks.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 58, Calories 1,027, Carbs - 107.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: taco meat, cheese, sour cream
D: beef pot roast
S: light & fit Greek yogurt, prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
E: Hopefully it will stop raining and I can take the dogs for a walk.
Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!
~ Karen
Morning!
Todays my 5 month post op appointment! I'm a little nervous, fingers crossed it goes well.
Q: it's flipping hot here. Is it too much to ask for some beautiful fall weather already?? Haha
A: yesterday ended up being a super small pouch day. I didn't eat half of what I anticipated. In fact, I was way below my protein goal.
M:
- Protein Coffee
- greek yogurt
- bone broth
- egg
- Some Paneer Masala! Yay!
E: none
V: good!
Good morning! It was a lovely (and fast) ride into work today. For some reason I had the need for speed today and passed a car when I had the opportunity. I usually ride 15-20 km/h, but I was putting it down this morning. I stopped at a red light and a cop pulled up beside me and asked where the fire was. Had a friendly chat for a few minutes and he just said "Well be careful, you're smaller than they are". I'm usually pretty safe on a bike, all gear, lights, etc. The car I passed was going too slow for my liking, so I went around. LOL
It's been unseasonably and unwelcome-ly (I invent words on occasion) warm. I'm finding it really hard to get warm now, but I find it too hot outside. With an extra 100 lbs on me, I'd have been downright miserable, but I can tolerate the heat better now. It's the winter I'm dreading a little bit. I hate being cold, but I'd better get used to it.
Menu: B: 2 meat sticks, protein shake
MS: 1/4 cup cottage cheese, mixed with 1/4 cup feta/cucumber/cherry tomato salad
L: Beef/Cabbage Veggie soup
AS: See MS
S: I'm not sure, but I'm guessing chicken.
ES: Decaf coffee. Maybe 2 because I'm livin' on the edge.
Last night I ate a few triscuit thins with cucumber and cheese, a few more carbs than I'd like but that's what I ate and it was tasty without breaking the bank. I didn't make it out for my walk, wasn't feeling it last night after a long day, but I will tonight. I almost crave that evening walk-time now. I did get in my ride to/from work which is a good 40 minutes of cardio, but I like to get more daily.
I'm so impressed with your SPEEEEEEED!!! I'm still struggling to ride fast enough to "count it" in MFP! I have bike lanes most of my way now, so I speed right past the slower cars and traffic jams. Tonight I may ride home via the bike path which is two miles longer but all in the shade. It's also not as terrifying as the more direct city streets (even with a bike lane!).

Morning RNYers! Good luck today Teena on your site visit with your boss.
Accountability: 100% on plan
QOTD: As you know Teena we only live about 90 minutes apart so I am getting the same weather as you. I love Sun, love heat, but I just despise humidity. It really limits my outdoor activities like running and hiking the dogs, not to mention my hair is a frizzy mess in this weather!
3.10 years post op RNY - maintenance food - this is what I have planned and inputted into MFP
B: 1/4 cup of egg beaters + 2 slices of bacon
L: can of tuna + balsamic dressing
S: cottage cheese cup + two cheese strings
D: 5.5 ounces of chicken bites with thai chili sauce
S: vanilla yogurt
2 premier protein shakes used as creamer in my decaf coffee all day
TOTALS: 1058 calories, 144 protein, 49 carbs
V: patches are on
E: 60 min step + 60 min muscle pump - second night
Have a awesome Tuesday everyone.

Vanilla Premier protein.
Girl its LIFE CHANGING!
I drink two PP a day as I use that in my decaf coffees all day long. I like my coffee sweet so the vanilla PP just is the perfect amount of sweet and creaminess to make it almost seem latte like. And by drinking two of these that's 60 grams of protein right there!
I have seen someone else say they use the Caramel PP in their coffee, we don't have the caramel PP in Canada yet but the vanilla works great for me.
You must try it, you will love it!

I love it to. Started doing the premier protein in my coffee during the last CAMAW. Chocolate and vanilla are good but I prefer vanilla

You are so rocking the protein and workouts!! Is pump and power the same thing? I've been wanting to try that class.
