Tell me why you love your fitbit/step counter.
I like challenging high school friends that I am far, far away from. The little messages and the challenges make them feel a little closer. We are still teasing each other and having fun, just like we did 20 years ago in Algebra class.

I just got a brand new Fitbit Alta HR. I LOVE IT. Its slim, sleek and does everything! I had the Fit*****arge HR and before that my first one was the Fitbit Zip. I have loved them all.
I just got this last week but I plan on hitting up Amazon for different bands to go with different outfits, so far the band is fantastic. I wear my 24/7, only take it off to shower and do dishes. And I workout long and hard and its very durable. Go for it!
Here is my new Alta HR

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
I use my phone. I average around 10K a day which takes some time.
Minimum is 10,000 steps and I've only missed it on days spent traveling.
Actually I have 3 kinds of counters that I wear.....at the same time. Ok a little OCD?
I have the Apple Watch which is nice but it does a lot & you have to charge it every night. So far my steps get counted more with that, but it doesn't track sleep.
I also have the Fitbit. I really like it & have bought different varieties. I also had to buy a band since the plastic piece broke & I'm not sure how I broke it. However Amazon has a whole bunch of different colors & styles so I just bought a bunch on there. Plus it lasts longer b4 needing to recharge & it tracks my sleep. There's also 1 for heart rate.
However I did notice that whenever I walked on the treadmill it wouldn't track my steps. I had to use my arms different kind of ways for it to track & just gave up.
The last one is called misfit, guess they wanted to buy into the Fitbit market? Anyway this one is the shape of a coin & I can clip it anywhere, it tracks my sleep & I can use it as a necklace. They have holders for it.
However I've lost more than 1 of these little coin trackers cuz the rubber ring that holds the piece in stretches sometimes. I'd look down at my feet & only see the little rubber piece held in by my shoelaces meanwhile my tracker is long gone. I started clipping it to my clothes instead.

I'm sorry but I borderline hate my fitbit. I'm wearing it right now only because I do like that it tells me when I'm getting a text or call. However, it does that inconsistently - I figure I see only 80% of my messages via alert from fitbit. The main reasons for my dislike is that you can't customize the movement reminder. The 10 minute tracker at the top of the hour almost never works for me. I'd love it if I could tell it remind me at these specific times or if it buzzed after say 30 or 45 minutes of inactivity. Then it would be powerful. Also I find the steps are pretty inaccurate for my stride. So I keep having to adjust it, but I have short legs. So I'm looking for a serious upgrade and one that tracks activity while swimming. I still have limited mobility, so swimming is my main activity. But I'll give the fitbit credit - It really did get me motivated to start moving more. I just don't like this company's execution that much. Oh, I won it in a raffle and I have the Aria.
