Morning!

Just got out of my women's bootcamp workout class. It was a hot one today! Feeling good though. My scale is FINALLY going down after gaining from upping my sodium and workout routine. I'm thinking I will indeed be in the 190's for my 5 month appointment tomorrow! 106 pounds down from highest (which darn near makes me cry!)

QOTD: A new Kristene DiMarco album came out recently and every song is beautiful. Highly recommend. And for workouts my two favorite songs have been Black Beatles and Masks Off. Not the most uplifting songs but the best and rythem help me to push hard during my workout!

M:

  1. Protein Coffee.
  2. Maybe an egg and 1/2 cup okra
  3. Cottage cheese
  4. Taco Soup! Homemade full of protein and veggies and healthy fats!
  5. broccoli or okra with nutrional yeast for more protein

75 G protein 35 g carb 25 fat calories 664

E: bootcamp

V: Patches good, forgot oral iron boo

EDIT: I've been frustrated that I gained a couple of pounds back while eating allow carb and at a deficit. Thought it was just sodium intake and new workout routine. Turns out there's also the fact that my period just started. So my guess is it's partly hormonal stuff too. Sigh, being a woman's hard, at least it means everything's working how it should be internally.

Congrats on your weightloss! The scale being up definitely plays twitch our minds though. I'm up because of exercise and I'm so frustrated. Oh, I also noticed that our high weights must be close to the same.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

Monday . . . I would say happy Monday, but . . . Monday. Weekend was good. I went to Universal Studios so after my morning run, so got in a ton of steps. Yesterday was mainly errands, but all on all a good weekend. The weather is supposed to get crazy hot which doesn't make me happy. It was nice to run with long sleeves. I have a 10k up at Dodger Stadium on Sunday and I'm hoping we finish before it gets too hot. I'm running with my surgeon. We ran the race together last year and decided to make it a tradition. My weight is inexplicably up and hoping it drops back down prior to race day.

Good morning!

Accountability: was a little bit out of control this weekend with my choices. Time to quit messing around and get back on it. I have been working out a lot more though so hopefully the extra burned calories will help offset some of my poor decisions from the last couple days.

QOTD: there are so many! Lately, I've been listening to motivational compilations while I workout and they're so awesome. I love that they push me to keep going and run harder/faster when I feel like being lazy and slowing down or cutting my run shorter. There's a bunch of songs on my playlist that help me in the same way. One of my go-to songs is "lose yourself" by Eminem, it just keeps me motivated and I find myself skipping forward to it a lot when I get to that point of exhaustion but don't want to quit just yet.

B- coffee (with too much cream - eek, tomorrow I will be more careful with that!)

l- syntrax fruit punch

d- turkey cheeseburger cauliflower casserole and a few pieces of tofu to add more protein

s- NONE! Unless I need more protein after dinner, still have to plug everything into MFP

v- patches

e- hour on the treadmill and 30 min walk with the dogs

have a great Monday, everyone!

Late again!

Accountability: I was cleaning out more cupboards and a refrigerator and freezer. Sampling happened.

QOTD: Oxford Comma (Vampire Weekend) I don't know why?

5 mo post RNY/ 153lbs/ Weight-loss phase

B- One 11oz can of Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate

MS- skipped

L- Mixed greens with avocado, asparagus, roasted corn and roast salmon (purchased a salad at lunch that looks like it will last me a few days...)

AS- String cheese

D- Shrimp ****tail (3 oz shrimp and 1 tsp ****tail sauce)

ES- One 11oz can of Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate

Total Calories: 612, Protein: 109, Carbs: 22, Sugar: 4, Fat: 16

Exercise: Running Club (first meeting) tonight, followed by the weight circuit

Last week I had zero weight loss, but I also started lifting weights so I'm going to assume that I'm retaining some water as my body deals with the soreness and "reconstruction" work I've inflicted on my major muscle groups. Per my trends, I should see a nice drop this week to finish out my 6th month post op. I took measurements this weekend (found my tape in the move) and for the past several months I've had zero changes in my neck, thighs, calf, arm, and chest, but I did lose TWO INCHES in my waist over the past two months, and three off of my hips!!!
