What's on your Tuesday menu RNYers?

nope - I just rinse them off, cut them into quarters, and put them in a freezer bag. It's actually better to first put them on a cookie sheet, freeze them, and THEN put them in a freezer bag and pop the bag back in the freezer, because they don't clump together that way. But if I skip that step, I just let the bag sit out for 10 minutes or so, and then I can usually pull a few off to use and then put the bag back in the freezer. But either works!

freezing them changes the texture, so they're not terribly good at eating by themselves as you would a fresh peach, but for cooking or to put into shakes or smoothies, they're fine.

I'm flying low but wanted to actually post before noon today!

Accountability: Last night I swapped out a small portion of venison stroganoff for my planned shrimp ****tail, and I added an extra can of Pure Protein and a stick of string cheese after my uber hard workout because I felt like I needed it (weight lifting plus cardio on top of my bike commute to work).

QOTD: I love to be surprised and can have a gift sitting in a bag in my room and never peak at it, I'm not even tempted!

Taco Tuesday so it's ugly!

B- (this was an error on my part, I didn't look up recipes or check calorie counts when I made this last night) 1/4 cup chia seeds in a bowl with half a can of Pure Protein Banana Cream shake. It was too much chia so it was basically solid this morning - but still tasty! I'll try it again for tomorrow morning (with the other half of the can of Banana Cream) using half the amount of chia seeds.

MS- Hard Boiled Pastured Chicken egg

L- StarKist tuna packet (in Olive Oil with Sun-dried Tomatoes - hoping it's good!)

AS- Crab Dip w/cucumber slices

D- Shrimp tacos sans tortilla and an adult beverage

ES- Stash Green Chai Tea w/ plain protein powder and Truvia (it's a low protein day, so I'm adding this to get my level up a bit!)

Good morning everyone! I only have an afternoon meeting today so we are going to go out and explore Old town Sacramento, see the old governors mansion and hopefully tour the Capitol today. Sounds like my kind of day!

QOTD - Im not one for surprises or a fuss of any kind really... If I knew about it It would kick up my anxiety, if it were truly a surprise I would be really embarrassed. As far as gift, I want them to be a surprise, I wont snoop!

Accountability = oh my, I didn't have a plan yesterday, I had a protein bar for breakfast and lettuce wraps for dinner, but there were nuts and pork rinds and a Slim Jim which was deliciously disgusting... I am so swollen today my loose ring is completely stuck and I am really bloated. Ugh, will make better choices today - no scale here -almost brought mine but forgot

9mo post op

b-coffee and eggs or an omelette

l-insides of tacos

d-burger no bun

Good morning! Yesterday was on point for accountability, except I did eat 2 ginger snaps (the ones that were the size of a $2 for those Canucks among us) with my decaf at night. It was just kinda 'meh' and I'm kinda glad it wasn't mind-blowing. All vitamins and everything else was fine.

Today:

B: 2 meat sticks (while walking to work) plus a protein shake when I got here, lots of water in that shake.

MS: 1/2 cup ff greek plain yogurt with 1 tsp sf chocolate pudding mix stirred in. Oh dear Lord that was awesome.

L: 1 cup of pulled pork from last night's supper. I was right, it was done in the crock pot and is fall-apart delicious. I've never been a huge fan of pork anything but I'm not gonna lie. I love pig now.

AS: same as MS

S: Ground Beef/cabbage veggie stew that I saw thawing in the sink this morning.

All water and vitamins no problem. ES: decaf coffee and an Oikos something-or-other

QOTD: I historically don't like surprises. I mean if someone says "Surprise! Here's a new car" I'd be cool with that. But "Surprise! You're my dad" and I'm so not cool with that. That's never happened and never will, but that's definitely one scenario where I'd certainly man up, but not like the surprise of it. I wasn't one of those kids that snooped for presents, but I generally didn't make a big deal of presents anyway. Most people in my classes etc. found that odd. We didn't have a lot of extra scratch for that sort of thing, so it was downplayed. Family time was emphasized at holidays and we were a crazy bunch. Lots of fun. LOL too much to type here.

Growing up, I was accustomed to being in the background and not having attention drawn to myself, and I think that fuels my aversion to surprises. I'm used to being back-to-the-wall and ready for what's in front of me; it's in my nature to "defend until I have no other choice but to attack" and it translates over to a lot of things with me (but I'm working on lightening up).

My wife knows better than to point out my birthday at a restaurant, for example, and vice versa. We're both planners and like to see things coming. For the most part I stick to that, but sometimes I surprise her with flowers. Birthday gifts and Christmas are the only other exception.

Woke up extremely tired. Slept on couch for two hours. Finally got ready to go away, my car won't start so I'm waiting for AAA to show up. I'm supposed to go out for dinner. AAA showed up and my battery was bad. Cheaper fix than I thought.

Qotd yes I like good surprises if I don't expect then. I was like you Teena, open a corner of a package to see what it was at Christmas so I could pick the present I wanted most to open on Christmas Eve

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna,cottage cheese and watermelon

D Logans steak, salad and grilled mushrooms

Have a good day

I have a tradition with my kids... they get to open ONE present on Christmas Eve... and I get to pick which one...

And every year it's a new pair of pajamas... last year I got them cosplay pajamas A penguin and an owl... I always make them put them on each year so on Christmas morning they would look cute as kids, and now as teens at least I get a kick out of them!
