Happy Monday Menu Peeps :)

QOTD: Summer hands down is my favorite season... even prior to surgery, when it was so hot I could barely walk anywhere, it was still my favorite season, but now even more so! Followed by Fall second, then Spring (which can be such a tease!), then Winter comes in a long last... can't stand the cold!

I had a great weekend. We did the State Fare yesterday, and while I definitely ate off plan, I'm OK with that since I'm in maintenance and really only had a few bites of the 'bad' things. I ordered a bacon wrapped grilled chicken on a stick for my 'main' meal, which filled me up and made it much easier to taste things like a corndog, kettle corn, fried pickle, and cinnamon roll (ok, a few bites of that one)... but overall, it was good.

The bacon wrapped turkey leg that I was looking forward to really disappointed me. #1 it wasn't 'wrapped', more like 2-3 pieces of bacon schlepped around a turkey leg... and #2, it was $20! DH offered to make me some on his new smoker, so I'll take him up on that one.

NSV... one of the buildings had a bunch of kid stuff to do in it... there were hula hoops... I've never ever been able to hula hoop, but yesterday I totally did it! Must be the weight loss, at least that's what I'm chalking it up to! I made DH video tape me because I was so excited about it! I don't know how to post videos on here, so I grabbed a clip and I'll post a picture. I had so much fun, I was in shock!

Weight this morning 137.2 (Sunday I saw an all time low of 136.2, which was a pleasant surprise)

Breakfast

2.5 ounces of smoked ham and 4 SF sweet pickles

Lunch

4 ounces of meaty ricotta bake

Dinner

Not sure, forgot to take something out... probably ground beef something or another since I can defrost that quickly

Snacks

I have 3 ounces of taco meat in the freezer if I need it and some pork rinds and beef jerky in the drawer here at work.

Water, 100 ounces and vitamin patches on

People keep telling me I look tiny... and I just don't really get it. I know I'm not MO anymore, but I see a woman in a size 6-8 and think that I'm just not really tiny... just average.

You will be there before you know it. We are almost exactly 1 year apart in surgery dates

I took a quick 6 week hoola hope course at the community college two years ago. It was like a hoola hoop dance. Good times. Glad you got video of it so you can look back when you need inspiration.

Good morning and happy Monday! Teena, those are fantastic pictures!

today is my 3 month weigh-in appointment. Halfway through! A week from today I'll meet with the surgeon for his initial consult (met with the NP already with the bariatric program). Pulmonology appointment is on the 5th, and setting up cardiology soon. Is it weird to feel like this process is taking forever but also moving so fast??

Qotd: fall is my favorite! I love the crisp weather, and all the stereotypical "basic girl" fall stuff haha. Give me scarves, boots, campfires, hot cocoa, and pumpkin everything!

Accountability: normally I'm posting about high calorie, high carb food choices here but I took it in the opposite direction this weekend and didn't eat nearly enough, especially since I'm supposed to be getting 5 servings of veggies daily. Less than 500 calories both days. Mostly it was sleeping in and being busy and forgetting to eat and just generally not hungry or thinking about food. I was hoping at least for a scale payoff, but nothing. I was, however, very physically active, so I'm hoping for a drop in the next few days maybe?

breakfast: a piece of buttered toast, a L&F Greek yogurt, and a giant Americano.

lunch: 1/2 C refried black beans, 1/2 C fajita shredded chicken, 1/4 c cheese, 2 tbsp salsa

snack: 1.5 oz deli turkey, 3 slices of ultra thin sliced Swiss

dinner: spinach salad with 3 oz diced chicken
