Good morning Erin and everyone! I have a great hike planned with my sister this morning and an afternoon of lounging on the boat, can't wait!! Then later, Rob are going to BBQ and watch the movie Best in Show for the 100th time, man I love that movie.

QOTD, OMG, the Grinch, lol. I have an issue walking too, my center is off still and I tend to walk leaning forward like I'm still 300 pounds. I am trying to make an effort to stand and walk tall but I often catch myself in a window reflection still leaning forward. I do forget I'm not SMO anymore. Especially when I see a spot I would have needed to squeeze through and I go through the thoughts of how to navigate...then it turns out I can walk straight without bumping anything or anyone. i'm still in awe that 'I fit' everywhere now and that I have plenty room on both side of my rear in chairs.

Accountability -100% on plan

e - 3 mile hike

Have a great day all!

Hi everybody! Happy Saturday!

I have bounced up and down since I was in my 20s between being slim and very obese. (I finally decided to have WLS primarily in order to give myself a tool with which to help myself maintain. I know it will be challenging, but I really, really want to do my best to overcome my yo-yo history.) At any rate, I have been slender and I have been fat. Mostly when slim, I have felt and thoroughly identified with being slim. When SMO, of course, I have had considerations about where best to sit, flying, social worries, etc. Probably I won't think much about where to sit, etc. once I reach goal. However, I have been MO to SMO for 8 years now, longer than ever, ever before. Eight years is a very long time, so who knows in what lingering ways having been SMO will affect my psyche?

First: Orange spice black tea with Vanilla PP

B: 2 oz. vegetarian refried beans/ham/cheddar

L: 2 oz. turkey

D: 2 oz. BBQ pulled chicken

S: cappucino PP drink

Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone!

What is this? I'm posting on a weekend? It's AMAZING what I will do to avoid packing up my kitchen!

[Here I digress and rambled only keeping this here because it's like therapy to share lol] This weekend I'm packing up the apt I'd been sharing with a friend since I separated from my husband a couple years ago. In April I started a job 2 hrs away in Columbus Ohio and was only up here on the weekends. Our lease was thru the end of the month so now were breaking up house keeping, she's moving to Charlotte and I'll likely spend my weekends with friends, or occasionally on the farm with my estranged husband (work weekends on farm projects) or just stay in Cbus... Life is still complicated for me as I love my farm, care about my older, extremely irritable and often belligerent husband, and have many dear friends up here in NE Ohio. At the same time I'm living my new job, and really loving living in Cbus with my sister and her family... My long term plan is to refinance the farm (which I pay for, while the husband covers utilities and feeds the chickens/collects eggs daily- I handle weekly chores like round bales, dumping scrubbing water troughs, repairing fences, handling vet visits etc) so I can build savings and eventually get a little apt of my own in Columbus. If/when I get my own apt in Columbus it will be the first time I'll have lived on my own since college. [End rambling]

Accountability: yesterday I went off plan, but this improved my macros.

QOTD: I thought I'd escape this phenomenon because I was "just" MO (35BMI) and I was only MO as a middle aged adult (37 to 50). Alas this is truly a thing! When I see my reflection in a mirror or window I find myself looking for the bend or warp in the glass that is creating this "fun house"mirror effect of a thinner me. I also feel like I'm somehow trying to get away with something when I select a size small top or bra... Like some one at the store is going to call me out on it. The senior executive in my chain of command at work will flick the shoulder of my suit jacket and say, "this is handing of your skinny shoulders, you need to buy something your own size". In the restroom one day she asked me to take off a jacket I was wearing, she checked the tag (size 10) and said "I want to see an "8" next time." Of course she makes 4 or 5 times what I do so she assumes I can jus replace my wardrobe every timeI drop a size, but god love her she means well!

Howdy!

My saturday is going to be catching up on work for 2 companies, running errands and I just finished my cooking for the day.

QOTD: Well at my highest weight back in 2002 which was 340 ish at 5 foot 6, I was miserable. I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs, I smoked cigarettes and generally unhappy. So in 2003, got the lapband, got down to 180 lbs, went to the gym 5 times a week and generally felt great. Then part 2, prolapsed band that had to be removed and several years in limbo slowly gaining weight back up to 238 because I had no restriction. Then the sleeve in 2008. Lost down to 165 dropping 73 pounds and maintaining for a few years at 165 -175. Then slowly climbing back up over 9 years. I don't feel morbidly obese, but shortly before I had my revision to RNY, I realized I was starting to have issues fitting into airlines seats and having huge anxiety about getting on airplanes and squishing people even though my weight was in the low 200's. I am not sure if I will ever feel thin, but I still look at chairs and wonder how I will fit.

Food for the day:

Tried a new experiment with protein pancakes. Isopure plain protein, egg whites, lactose free Fairlife low fat milk high protein, Quest peanut butter protein powder and a 1/4 cup of oatmeal. Each pancake has 50 calories and 8 grams of protein.

Breakfast: Egg beaters, bacon and one protein pancake 175 calories 26 grams protein

Lunch: Leftover ahi tuna grilled and green beans 110 calories 22 grams protein

Dinner: 1/2 stuffed green pepper with grassfed beef

beans, tomato, melted lf cheese with achiote riced califlower 175 calories and 18 grams protein

Snack: ? Not sure but probably yogurt 11 grams protein 60 calories

550 calories 77 grams protein and less than 15 carb grams

Late posting today. Went to sunrise yoga, then DH and I went out for coffee and to run errands. He's still out & about, but I was ready to come home and veg (have to work all day tomorrow, so this is my only "down day" - plus the upcoming week is really packed..)

QOTD: I don't usually freak out when I see myself anymore, but there are a few quirks - like my posture is off (I thought it was due to my bad hip joint + a bad habit (of slouching), but maybe being formerly SMO is playing into it as well, as it seems to be for a couple of others). Or when strangers look at me, I often think it's because I'm so heavy, but then I remember....no, I'm not. I'm normal-sized now. Or sometimes I'll ask DH to take something down to the basement for me because going up & down the stairs, I think, is exhausting - but no! It's not! Going up & down stairs is a breeze now!

2 years 3 months out

B: coconut Greek yogurt, 1/4 mango

S: coffee with half & half, SF snickerdoodle protein shake

L: overnight protein oats with fresh raspberries

D: peach/pecan salad, some kind of protein

ex: already went to yoga, may go to the gym this evening - I'm long overdue..
