Good morning- I don't normally on the weekends but here I am.

I haven't noticed a whole lot but in my head I still see the obese person. I did sit beside someone on a bench in a meeting room the other day and thought wow- there would not have been room for both of us 8 months ago.

Accountability- my calories were a bit higher than usual but it was all protein forward- went out for a steak dinner last night for my birthday- it's not until Monday but everything he was home last night.

Menu:

Breakfast: Protein Shake

Lunch: Not sure

Dinner: BBQ pork chops

snack: maybe Greek yogurt and berries.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Erin and Menu Family!

QOTD: Yes, I still forget. I'm surprised when I catch a glimpse of myself in a store window, too. And I, too, feel like I need to scoot over if someone sits near me so I don't crowd them. My veterinarian's office has regular chairs and double wide chairs and I still choose the double wide chair to sit in even though I can easily fit into the regular chair now.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 58, Calories - 893, Carbs - 83

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks

L: 3 pieces popcorn chicken

D: chicken stir fry

S: light & fit Greek yogurt, prosciutto & mozzarella sticks

E: Walking the dogs around the subdivision

Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

~ Karen

Yes to the double chairs! Also, I'll still usually pick the accessible stall if given the option!

I do, too, but it's mostly because they make regular-height toilets so damn low now! (or am I just getting older?? Don't answer that!!)

Morning folks!!! I'm uber excited cause I did SIX miles on my run this morning!! I'm at between a 9:30-10:30/minute mile too! I can't believe how far I've come with this. While that's all great- my weight is still higher than I'm comfortable with- so I need to cut my calories back. I'm set at 1050 now in MFP, and in reality I average about 1150, so I'm gonna scale back to 900. It was hard to decide cause I really don't want to eat less (who does?!) but I really don't need all that I'm am eating either.

Only plan I have today is to spend some Gap cash I have. I'll run to BJ's too and make a dinner plan for the week.

Qotd: I can't say I forget that in not SMO any more, but I do feel like I carry those same worries for my husband. I always am thinking about ways to minimize whatever we're doing that would draw attention to his size. (Restaurant booths, long walks, stair climbing etc). I got rid of those concerns for me and now anticipate them for him.

I so miss running (used to do it when I was younger, during thinner cycles). The last time I was up to 8 miles a day but blew my knee out. It healed with physical therapy, but I gained a ton of weight and kept it on for 8+ years ****il WLS). I'd love to run again but at 62, I want to make sure I retain my joints, so I'm sticking to walking now (which I also love, but it's not the same).

Good morning! Today is my company picnic at a really big pumpkin patch/farm attraction here. I've never been, but I'm not a native and don't have kids, so I've never gone. It's currently storming so I'm hoping that clears up before then!

QotD: can't say yet!

breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with 1 oz ham and cheese

lunch: not sure what they're having at the picnic, but I'm assuming campfire fare--I know s'mores are on the menu, but I don't like chocolate so I'll have an easy time saying no to those. I'm betting there will be hot dogs? Whatever it is, I'll forego the bun

supper: absolutely no clue. I'll have to see what I can pull out of the freezer. Dinner will include large spinach salad.

exersize: I'm not losing a ton of weight, but I'm noticing myself become more fit. Yesterday I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and I couldn't do that even two months ago. I have been taking the stairs at work (I'm only on the second floor but have always taken the elevator) and can walk up them fairly briskly, even kind of bounce up them, and I'm not winded at the top. I never thought at 300+ I'd do either of those things.
