Surgery has been scheduled!

Hello, all -- I'm Allie, and I've been lurking around for the past couple of months while working through the (seemingly endless) list of pre-op requirements around supervised diet, psych eval, EGD, etc.

Now that my surgery has been scheduled, I feel "official" enough to come out of the woodwork. :) I'm so excited (and a little bit nervous) to start the next chapter of my life, and I'm glad that I've found this group. Giving and receiving support is so important.

So... October 17th is the day! Anyone else scheduled for around the same time?

Welcome! I'm pre-op, and probably will have surgery around Jan-Feb.

Good Luck Allie. It'll be here before you know it. I'm scheduled for the 27th of this month. I got my date 6 weeks in advance and I thought the time would drag, believe me it does not....

I'm so excited for you; your surgery day will be here before you know it. I had RNY on Feb. 1st, 2017, and can't believe I'm already 7 and a half months post op. The time really flies.

Allie it must be so exciting to finally have a date! Congrats to you, it can be along and very bumpy ride to get to your position.

For me I am still waiting on my final appointment before my file gets brought to team but then I hope to be in your position.
