What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Oh my goodness, could you look any cuter in that dress!? I'm always scared i'm going to regain the weight back. I haven't really been on OH much this summer, was dealing with my ill father. So I only had 10 lbs left till goal, but now it's 15 (stress). But i'm back on track and determined to get the15 lbs off. You can do it too JB!
Good morning! My menu today is a little bit tweaked but not too much from what's working.
B: Protein shake
MS: 1/2 cup ff greek vanilla yogurt (only because I'm out of plain) mixed with 1 tbsp sf chocolate pudding. Something I saw on another post yesterday. I've been avoiding pudding and jello like the plague ever since the first two phases of this. LOL
L: 1 cup of beef/cabbage/veg stew, which is sadly nearing the end of the supply in the fridge. It's been amazing though.
AS: same as MS
S: Lettuce wraps with 1/3 can tuna and 1.5 -2 oz cheese
ES: Decaf coffee, maybe a few pieces of cauliflower and an oz of cheese, and a walk
All water and vitamins, that part's been easy to get the routine going. Exercise? Well, I rode my bike to work today, only 5.5 km and I'm dropping it off at the shop for a tune-up so I'll walk the 5.5 home. After supper do another 5km loop through my neighborhood and call it a night.
QOTD: I'm still early out and in the honeymoon phase, so it's not something I've really thought about putting a number to. I'm fairly confident that I'll be able to stick to the new lifestyle down the road, though. I've had that thought wrestle through my mind, and seen the (very few) pictures of me when I was almost 400 lbs. That alone is the motivation I need to walk away from the few trigger foods that caused me to cave. All along, I've been expecting what I've been told by the clinic doc, the nutritionist and the surgeon, that I'll "bottom out" and then have some minor regain as I switch to maintenance, and level off (and that's where the real work begins). So I'm expecting some bounceback.
My goal right now is to lose another 40, so when that "bounce back" happens, I'll be in and around the goal weight I wanted in the first place. Currently I'm about 20 lbs off "goal", but I'm happy to be down 150 lbs in the first place. Whatever I end up at in all of this, I'm forever changed inside and out. The biggest thing now for me, is seeing the unhealthy foods for what they are. Crap, nothing more.
Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.
Good Morning Julia and Menu Family!
QOTD: I'm probably an 8 or 9. I know it is hard, but I'm determined to keep the weight off.
Oops, I got my "After" picture on there twice and I don't know how to delete one of them, sorry.
Also, I have to add this picture that my neighbor took of a butterfly. Our neighborhood is filled to the brim with swarms of these painted lady butterflies! They are absolutely everywhere! They must be migrating now or else the weather conditions were perfect for so many of them to develop or something but there are literally 100's of them flying around our neighborhood! It's such an amazing sight!
