Happy Friday!!! I get tomorrow off since we are closing the shop early today for the whole weekend. So excited to have an extra day for catching up on things (and hopefully some time for fun stuff)
qotd: oh man.. This has actually been weighing very heavy on my mind lately - I've even had stress dreams about it. I have 28+ pounds to go until I get to goal and I'm only 9 mo post op. Starting to panic that I'll never get there and that I'll begin gaining some back before I ever get to where I want to be. The idea of it gives me a pounding, racing heart. I'm trying so hard to stay positive and stay on track but the harder it gets the more stuck and stressed I feel. I just have to keep on keeping on. With all that in mind, I guess I'm about middle of the road on a scale of 1 to 10.. I am so scared that I'll be one of the ones to gain a bunch back but I am determined to be successful long term.

Good morning JB and fellow OHers,
QOTD ok so I have a ' this time' to the 1 - 10 scale. I had my RNY in 2003...starting weight was about 371...got down to 194...was attending a support group in Bellevue, Wa. The leader of the group was very knowledgeable (seemed?) And so happy with her weight loss and plastics....she talked about how she allowed herself to eat popcorn for a snack( OH tg...I love popcorn..I mean I really REALLY love popcorn, well and chips ...and you know- dips and..etc.) Over the next 13 years I went back up to about 302... then I really started lurking on this site. Started a hit and miss eating plan(lots of misses and don't know WHY I at thats) and managed to get down to about 270. On April 24th of this year I went back to my knee surgeon and told him I would do anything I needed to do to get my knees replaced(gross) He told me I needed to get down to 240. I did it and had my left knee replaced late August yaaaaay me! So I'm down to 223 now and plan on going down to 160...how sure am I that I won't regain...a 10. I write my eating plan everyday, I cook mostly what you all talk about(thank you JB for TJs chili lime chicken) I plan on having a weight comfort zone and I am going to stay away from the popcorn, muffins, fritters..weight creep is real... if I PLAN something it will be ok(as long as it's written down) but I truly do not want to waste anymore of my life being unable to physically do the activities I want to do....like walk on the beach holding hands with my husband of 48 years...can't do that with really bad knees! Soooo what I am saying is "stay away from the popcorn". Love the protein!
B 1 egg bite, 1 piece of bacon
L 4 meatballs
D 1 Chili lime chicken patty
Coffee, cream,fiber, pp, vitamins
PS I've got some good news and some bad news. Good news = I've got my appetite back
Bad news = I've got my appetite back
This is a testament as to what WLS, a strong will and a solid plan can achieve. Good for you!

Good morning JB and menu crew! I hope you have a fabulous time at MV! I'm only a little jealous... Looking forward to the weekend! Tomorrow, I am hiking w/my sister and hanging out on the boat. Hopefully the weather is nice! Sunday is football and Monday I'm headed to Sacramento for a conference all week. feeling out of sorts A LOT lately. So many changes, so much up in the air... Hoping that after my conference I will get back to normal, which brings me to the qotd...
QOTD - Until very recently, I was a total 10 on how confident I was of not ever gaining the weight back. Recently with the scale at a standstill, hunger coming back, being able to eat more that I was safely used to, having fallen off the gym wagon and a whole lot of stress - the confidence is shot and it is no longer a 'given' that I'm a 10 on that scale. It's been an eyeopener, feeling very vulnerable and yes, doubting my ability to keep the weight off. It's scary actually. I'm a 5 at best right now. I have a plan and I'm hoping it will restore my faith. In the meantime I like the idea of posting the before and after photo to see how far I've come as well.
Accountability - eating more than planned without the 'full effects' I used to have...
9mo post op - 179 - up 2#'s today
