What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
on 9/15/17 2:52 am
Good morning everyone! I'm up early and on my way out the door. Working a 1/2 then off to get a much needed hair cut. Tomorrow we are headed to Martha's Vineyard for the weekend. Looking forward to some serious relaxing!
QOTD: On a scale of 1 - 10 how confident are you that you aren't going to gain all your weight back? I was a 10 for the last few years but all of a sudden I am feeling panicky. I am up 4lbs from where I want to be and having a ***** of time getting it off. For the first time last night I actually wondered if I am doomed to be fat forever. So my photos today are a before/after, to help me see how far I have come.
I don't have a lot of time to eat anything today since I am on the road, in back to back meetings, then getting my haircut... So it's more grab and go food today than I prefer... I will probably throw in a yogurt later to get the protein up a bit.
I hope everyone has an incredible Friday! Can't wait to see your pics today!
Good morning! Enjoy MV! Somehow we didn't make it there all season (maybe sometime later this month). It is such a beautiful place!
Most of you know that I was planning to retire at the end of this year. I was going to stop working on 12/8 and run my vacation days off for the remainder of the year. WELL: The amazing happened, and as a result of my department reorganization EVERYONE has been given 60 days notice during which time they must either be accepted into one of the new roles posted today (or another job) or they leave with severance. In my case it means that my retirement moves up to 11/13 and I leave with 51 weeks of severance pay. I'll lose 1.5 months of bonus, but gain about 10.5 months in pay which is a tremendous plus (especially since the bonus may not be too great due to the hurricanes this year). So I only have 38 work days left until retirement (59 elapsed days). It's a good thing I wasn't in the office because I was grinning from ear to ear while everyone else was freaking out.
QOTD: Maybe 8-9% confident about maintaining my weight? The last couple of days made me feel very mu*****ontrol as I was at the top of my comfort range on Wednesday morning and decided to buckle down to CAMAW for a few days to cut my carb cravings. This morning I was at the bottom of my comfort range! And I did NOT feel overly hungry because I was eating a lot of satisfying protein (including protein drinks in my coffee). But I too look at before/afters to reinforce why I don't want to go back.
17.5 months post-op (maintenance). 38 work days to retirement (!).
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
