2 days post-op
Well, I did it. I'm sitting here hooked up to all kinds of monitoring devises and drinking my water. (Sipping). I have to go home on oxygen in my cpap at night for 2 weeks. Bummer since I'm doing all of the walking (did about 1.5 miles yesterday) and doing the inspirometer every hour.
pain is tolerable with meds. I just need to be more willing to take them. That's what they are there for, right?
im not feeling any restriction yet- but taking about 1 hour per shake. i totally get when someone asked about thinking "did they actually do the surgery?!?"
So, that's where I am!
Thanks to all of you who have provided support and answered questions. Now the real work begins!
Congratulations on a successful surgery!
You are really lucky to feel that way; I had so much pain, and it took me about 6 hours to get through 1 premier protein shake after surgery. I had to wake up early and stay up late to get all of my protein and water in for the first few weeks.

Congratulations on your surgery!!
I remember someone telling me to stay ahead of the pain with the pain meds, and I did that the first few days. It made my recovery more manageable. I figured it was not a time to be brave!
Wishing you continued success and health.
