Morning!
QOTD: I love Syntrax. I normally do half a scoop twice a day to cut the whey flavor. My favorites are their coffee flavors, roadside lemonade, fuzzy naval, and vanilla bean torte. My only problem with them is they seem to be very temperature sensitive. If it's too cold of a drink they clump up.
M: ugh it's feeling like a sensitive pouch day. I'm really nervous that my stricture is coming back, I've had this lump in my throat on and off for a week or so. The past few days it's been fairly constant. So I'm going to do all liquids today.
v: last night.
E: boot camp and some outdoor Pilates!
I really hope the stricture is not coming back, but unfortunately it's apparently common once you've had one to have to get it stretched more than once. At least this time you'll know, and you can get it taken care of quickly

Thanks! I hope it's not coming back too. I have an appointment with my surgeon next week, fingers crossed it's nothing. Fortunately, I'm able to eat normally so far. I just don't want to pu****!
My first stricture was when I was 6 weeks out from my revision. My second was 13 months later. I hope I'm done with these dumb things.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that yours hasn't returned. They often do though, but as you know the fix is quick and you feel so much better after. It's all the pain and anxiety before getting it fixed that seems to be the worst.
I'm sending you good thoughts and swinging a chicken!

Good morning!
QOTD: I have a shake almost everyday. Syntrax powders are probably my favorite, I love how many flavors they make! Sometimes I'll play mad scientist and mix flavors together to come up with something different or I'll mix it into plain Greek yogurt for even more protein. I also like using the chocolate and vanilla premiere protein drinks when I need a coffee fix, it's so good to pour over iced espresso - like a delicious iced latte that doesn't break the calorie bank! :)
B- coffee with coconut milk and sugar free macadamia syrup, half bag of quest protein chips (I know it's a weird breakfast haha)
L- syntrax fuzzy navel, laughing cow cheese wedge
D- leftover turkey and bacon patty with cheese and a fried egg, broccoli and carrot threads with ginger dressing
S- handful of quest protein chips
have an amazing day, everyone!

Good morning everyone ~ This week is going by fast. I have a Dr. appointment with my dad today. He has been getting really grumpy if he has to go anywhere now, he just wants to stay home all the time so there have not been any fun outings in a while. Grumpy is a nice word for it actually - he has no filter says whatever is on his mind. Normally he is the kindest man you would ever meet. Now, it's a crap shoot of what you will get. He can be rude and snappy especially when he is not happy like having to go to the doctor... and I'm not looking forward to this. He has recently lost a lot of weight. He is over 6' and weighs 158. He does eat, but small portions. They are adjusting his meds (one being-they are trying a medical marijuana therapy to help him with agitation, aggression and appetite) and trying to get him to eat more and hopefully are going to start a dietary supplement as well. It all worries me, these changes - all of them because it screams decline.
QOTD - My center really pushed getting off the shakes ASAP and eating real food, so that is what I did. I think it was about 6-8 weeks? I can't stand them anymore anyway, they make my stomach turn. I do see the convenience of them and the recipes everyone posts sound good, but I'm happy without them.
Accountability - there was seriously a lot more SF jello and whipped cream than I'd care to admit...but I think I'm done now - I think the flood of artificial sugar gave me a stomach ache last night.
9 mo post op - 177 - I'm no angel, but I'm frustrated that 3 weeks into this month I've only lost 4 pounds. This will be lowest loss month to date - boo ;(
b- coffee w/hh and splenda, SB coffee w/hh and splenda, HB egg/beef jerky
l - meatloaf
d-turkey taco meat w/salsa and sour cream
v/l - great
e-still no gym.... Re start - re commit 9/25, I am working on a plan. I start hiking on Saturday mornings again this week, hopefully that will motivate me as well. I'm going to bring my gym clothes to my conference next week in the event I am inspired to use the hotel gym while I am there.
Have a wonderful day!
